One of the concepts of the new curriculum reform is to advocate inquiry learning and try to change students from passive learning to active inquiry.The 2017 High School Biology Curriculum Standard proposed that students should be able to use models and modeling based on biological facts and evidence to explore and interpret life phenomena and laws.As one of the necessary scientific methods for high school students,model method not only enables students to integrate into real scientific practice,and let students understand the formation of knowledge while mastering knowledge.It can also cultivate the innovation,practice and communication ability of students.On the basis of summarizing the research progress of physical model construction at home and abroad,this study draws on educational and psychological theories such as constructivism and cognitivism and conducts questionnaire survey,to analyze that the low rate of teachers and students in the middle school of ethnic minorities in Xundian county is caused by the lack of consciousness and ability,and propose corresponding solutions.According to the correlation analysis of teachers' questionnaires,it is found that the actual teaching situation of biology teachers in our school is related to teaching age,educational background and grade in the aspect of physical model construction.It designs and carries out the action research of this subject from this point of view.In addition,three typical examples of "flow mosaic model of biofilm","mitosis" and "making ecological bottle" are designed to summarize the principles and steps of physical model construction.Two classes with no significant difference in test scores are selected as the research objects through the pre-test.It takes 3 semesters.Considering the fairness of education,the teaching research is carried out on the compulsory course module of senior high school biology in the PEP edition through wheel-set experiments.The control class adopts the traditional teaching method,and the experimental class adopts the teaching method of physical model construction.SPSS analysis is used to collect the results of six-month examination paper,and the results shows that the use of physical model construction teaching method has a positive effect on improving students' academic performance and contributing to the formation of concepts.Through the analysis and reflection of the results of action research,this paper gives some suggestions on the teaching of physical model construction in our school.It is suggested that the leaders of our school attach importance to the making and application of physical models,call on the biology teachers of our school to participate in the making and application of physical models,give play to the team spirit and collective wisdom of the lesson preparation team,and carry out training of teaching and research section.In practice,there are still some problems: some students' learning enthusiasm has not been motivated,and some students' practical ability has not been measured and evaluated in the teaching of physical model construction.
