The demand for teachers' ability is getting higher and higher,and teachers' training and self-learning have become the essential part of teachers' development.With the help of the "national training program" in Yunnan Province,through the class observation,teacher interviews and the lessons learned from previous studies,this paper tries to solve three major problems in geography teaching in Yunnan Province with investigation,diagnosis,analysis and summary:No.1.There are two main aspects and 11 images that affect the teaching ability of geography teachers in Yunnan province.First,teaching ability.There are 6representations,which are respectively subordinate to two different parts:(1)teaching design,three teaching ability dimensions: namely,teaching objectives,teaching resources and teaching structure.The design of teaching objectives shall be measurable and evaluation of the goal oriented;selection of teaching resources,the need to uphold the three principles: related with real lives,teaching content,develop appropriate processing materials based on logic;logic and structure of teaching content should follow the logic of the subject knowledge and teaching materials in teaching;(2)the implementation of part,also has three dimensions respectively:teaching ability,teaching effect,teaching evaluation and teaching methods.In the teaching effect,we mainly observe the teacher's language,classroom atmosphere and teaching rhythm.In teaching evaluation,we pay more attention to the utilization of generative teaching resources,and the quality of teaching evaluation has also become one of the most important criteria for measuring the quality of teachers.Finally,it is the consideration of teaching methods,the evaluation of teaching methods.Second is the disposition of teachers,which is included in the diagnostic criteria of junior high school geography teachers' ability,it is used to summarize the attitude of the geography teachers to the teaching,the development of their own profession and the students,the examination of teachers' character can comprehensively assess the level of the ability of geography teachers in junior high school.No.2.Division of junior high school geography teacher's ability grade.It is divided into 4 levels.Among them,the fourth level is the teaching and learning ability that the idealized teacher should have,the standard of being ought to be,and the 2 level as the real standard is the lowest competency standard of the teacher in the actual teaching work,so that they can't finish the daily teaching task below this.No.3.Suggestions for teachers,schools and training institutions.By using the diagnostic table of teaching ability developed by this research,we can identify the current situation of ability,analyze the weak links of teacher's teaching,and carry out targeted training and learning.At the same time,we should strengthen the development and research of the course of teacher's character training,and put the character of teachers as the important training target to the arrangement of the training course.
