Based on the principle of textbooks compilation and the characteristics of Thai middle school students,this article will comparison and analysis of the concept,principles,texts,exercises and cultural factors of the junior high school and high school editions of Experience Chinese.(Each of them uses different grading and classification criteria,such as multiple intelligence theory.)And we inferred the advantages and disadvantages of the two sets of teaching materials,and then make some suggestions for the compilation of textbooks.Based on the four principle of compiling textbooks and the characteristics of Thai middle school students,we have compared and analyzed the concept and principles of compiling the two sets of textbooks.We found that the junior high school version pays more attention to fun design while the high school version pays more attention to practicality.In the following textual studies,the junior high school version lacks interactive communicative functions(such as talking,asking,and evaluation).Although the language is more interesting,it also has boring and intangible content.The high school version of the text is more communicative,but the second volume of the text is too long.We suggested that two sets of textbooks should compensate their disadvantages,and improve the recurrence rate of functional projects,at the same time to clarify the topic scenes.In the study of two sets of textbooks and multiple intelligence types,we conclude that both sets of textbooks focus on the design of practice levels and forms,but some of the exercises are not operative and feasible.We suggest that the practice of speech should be combined with meaning.The writing of Chinese characters should be designed in conjunction with the vocabulary so as to solve the problem of “separation of literacy and writing”.And we should balance seven kinds of intelligent language exercises.Reduce the scale of activities in communication exercises,increase interest,etc.At last,in the study of the distribution and difficulty of cultural factors,we conclude that the junior high school version pays more attention to the teaching of cultural factors,but the proportion of the selected content is not related to the topic.The high school edition lacks attention to cultural factors,has few contents,and has uneven distribution of cultural factors.In addition,the distribution of cultural factors in the two sets of textbooks is irrational,and the design of some of the contents is too simple and practical.We propose to select more easily understandable content,increase the contrast between Chinese and Thai cultures,and enhance the practicality of cultural factors.We also put forward specific suggestions for improvement.I hope that some of the points raised in this paper can help the revision and use of these two sets of textbooks in the future.
