Student-faculty interaction(SFI)in the whole field of education is a commonplace topic,and its influence on education and teaching is not questioned.However,In general,the research on the influencing factors of SFI in the classroom is more rare.Using the perspective of student to study the SFI in the classroom of the university,highlights the student-centered education philosophy,at the same time,is also the necessary means to improving the quality of higher education,and promoting all-round development.Though using qualitative study,treating H university as the case,and choosing 10 specialized courses and 14 students from all grades as the research samples,this study uses the method of interview and observation to collect the research documents,before constructing grounded theory.From the documents,we find: at present,SFI in the classroom and specialized courses,is less,where the teachers are accustomed to the traditional teaching method,with a few questions which are closed answers or meaningless.And students are stuck,for that they believe the SFI in the classroom is necessary on the one hand,expecting the professors to understand themselves,and the other hand they are not willing to take the initiative to communicate with their teacher.However,in this dilemma situation,with the Internet arising,some teachers start using the new platform and reforming teaching methods,so that many students intend to communicate with the teachers.In a sense,“Internet + course” brings SFI a new world.Then this study concludes the factors of affecting SFI in the classroom,according to the Comprehensive Learning Theory.First,the Content Dimension,including the explicit interactive content and implicit courses taught by teachers.Second,the Incentive Dimension,refers to the students' selfhood for release emotions,and utilitarian motivation two kinds of pressure.Third,the Interaction Dimensions,refers that the previous interactive experience and the current interactive situation affect the interaction involvement of students,in a degree,and consists of the student-student interaction and SFI outside classroom.Those dimensions are not isolated,but interact and exist as a whole.Based on the three influencing factors,the author put forward some strategies topromote students to engage in SFI.On the one hand,expert the function of teaching content,with improving the time of courses,and teaching method.On the other hand,make full use of the motivation factors of students,through changing the evaluation system to the process evaluation and learning methods of students to active learning.In addition,it needs teachers to improve their literacy and enhance personal charm,as well as students should really do cooperative learning,so as to improve the quality of communication between teachers and students.
