A Study On Relationship Among Teachers' Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy,Personality And Job Burnout

Purpose: To find out the situation and features of the regulatory emotional selfefficacy(RESE)and job burnout of teachers,and explore the role of regulatory emotional selfefficacy between the big five personality and job burnout,and to provide some suggestions to solve the problem of teachers' job burnout.Methods: In this paper,questionnaires are used as the method of study,with SPSS 19.0 applied as the statistical software,and Big Five Personality Inventory(5 dimensions,60 items),Regulatory Emotional Self-efficacy(3 dimensions,12 items)and Maslach Burnout Inventory(3 dimensions,22 items)as the study tools.Take 507 teachers from Shen Zhen and surrounding cites as the participants.Results:Firstly,the teachers' RESE is significant difference in terms of the gender,job title,authorization,educational background and school dependency.In terms of gender,the male POS is significantly smaller than the female,and the male DES and ANG is significantly greater than the female(p<0.05).In terms of job title,the POS and RESE of teachers who possess no title or junior title is significantly greater than the senior title(p<0.05).In terms of teachers authorization,the POS of teachers who possess no teachers' authorization is significantly greater than the authorization(p<0.05).In terms of teachers' educational background,the DES of teachers with a college degree is significantly greater than that with a bachelor's degree(p<0.05).In terms of school dependency,the POS,DES,ANG and RESE of teachers from Shen Zhen is significantly greater than the surrounding cities(p<0.05).Secondly,the teachers' emotional exhaustion is higher level(M=2.45)and close to the standard of job burnout(M=2.45),the depersonalization and the personal accomplishment is normal level.The teachers' job burnout is significant difference in terms of the authorization,teaching age,teaching grade and school dependency.In terms of teachers authorization,the depersonalization and the job burnout level of teachers who possess teachers' authorization is significantly greater than the no authorization(p<0.05).In terms of teaching age,the personal accomplishment level of teachers who have more than 20 teaching years is significantly greater than that is less than 10 teaching years(p<0.05).In terms of teaching grade,the emotional exhaustion and the job burnout level of high school teachers is significantly smaller than the primary school or middle school teachers(p<0.05).In terms of school dependency,the level of the emotional exhaustion of teachers from Shen Zhen is significantly greater than the surrounding cities(p<0.01).Thirdly,correlation analysis showed that,the Neuroticism and RESE is significantly negative correlation(p<0.01).The Neuroticism and job burnout is significantly positive correlation.The Extraversion,Openness,Agreeableness,Conscientiousness and RESE is significantly positive correlation(p<0.01).The Extraversion,Openness,Agreeableness,Conscientiousness and job burnout is significantly negative correlation(p<0.01).Fourthly,correlation analysis showed that,the RESE and job burnout is significantly negative correlation(p<0.01).Fifthly,the teachers' RESE play a completely intermediary role between Extraversion,Openness and job burnout,the RESE of teachers play a part of intermediary role between Neuroticism,Agreeableness,Conscientiousness and job burnout.Conclusions:Firstly,for the teachers,the personality and job burnout is significantly correlation.The higher level of Extraversion,Openness,Agreeableness,Conscientiousness,the lower level of job burnout.On the other hand,the higher level of Neuroticism,the higher level of job burnout.Secondly,the teachers' RESE and job burnout is significantly negative correlation.The higher level of RESE,the lower level of job burnout.Thirdly,the teachers' RESE play an intermediary role between personality and job burnout.
