The Study Of Du Yaxiong's Mother Language Music Education Thought

Prof.Du Yaxiong is an outstanding representative of contemporary Chinese ethnomusicology and music pedagogy.He is committed to the research of Chinese folk music and Chinese traditional music theory,and is also the advocate and practitioner of the mother language music education.This paper takes Du Yaxiong and his book Recognition,Reading,Singing and Writing of Music –Approaching Kodaly Teaching Method as the research object,using literature research method and qualitative research method,proceeding from his personal experience and historical background of him to sort out and analyze music education literature,published books,and education teaching practices during the exploration of mother language music education,and summarizing his ideologies on mother language music education and elaborating on how to use Kodaly's pedagogical approach into the Chinese indigenous creation,with the expectation to give some enlightenment to our current basic music education.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,which is elaborated from four aspects: the origin of the selected topic,the theoretical foundation of the research,the literature review at home and abroad,and research methods.The second part describes Du Yaxiong's and his thought of music education on mother language.It discusses respectively from Du Yaxiong's music education background,the sprout of music education thought on mother language,thebackground and perspective of music education thought on mother language.The third part analyzes the book named Recognition,Reading,Singing and Writing of Music-Approaching Kodaly Teaching Method.Through the purpose and basis,content and characteristic of the book as well as the comparison with the Reading and Writing of Music,the significance of Recognition,Reading,Singing and Writing of Music-Approaching Kodaly Teaching Method is analyzed.The fourth part provides the prospects and educational suggestions for the mother language music education.The fifth part makes a conclusion of the paper.
