As the country with the highest enthusiasm for learning Chinese in Asia,Thailand now has a generally younger age of learning Chinese,and the proportion of children learners is on the rise.Children are lively,active and curious,which determines that teaching children Chinese as a second language is different from that of adults.Every student owns unique characteristics,and if applying just a single teaching method then it is difficult to for students to exert their advantages.Therefore,how to stimulate students' learning interest and how to achieve the ideal teaching results are in great need of consideration and research.This study,based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences,is combined with the author's own Chinese teaching practice and survey questionnaires of local schools,focusing on Chinese Language Essential Teachings for Thai children,with the hope of analyzing and exploring the role of Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences in Chinese Language Essential Teachings in Thailand.This study aims at sorting out the theoretical basis and implementation methods of Multiple Intelligences on the basis of the existing research results.The author combines her own Chinese teaching experience and the Chinese teaching situation in Thailand,and analyzes the necessity and validity of implementing the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in Thai children language teaching,as well as further explores more effective teaching methods from the perspective of Chinese language promoter.Considering the learners' intelligence characteristics of different ages,the author hopes to find more diversified and targeted teaching strategies,and put forward feasible suggestions to improve the efficiency of Chinese classroom teaching in Thailand and other regions.The research shows that the combination of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences with the teaching of Chinese pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar and Chinese characters is effective in improving academic performance,teaching effectiveness,learning interest and self-confidence.Finally,in order to give full play to the role of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in Chinese teaching of Thai children,the author puts forward some concrete and feasible suggestions based on her own teaching practice.
