A Research Of Household Consumption Level Affected By The Degree Of Education

Consumption is the ultimate goal and destination of human production.In reality,the consumption activities of members of society are mostly controlled and implemented by the family.Research on the relationship between education and consumption while relative to the study of the relationship between education and production quantity is less,but still a few.In this small number of research achievements that scholars have seen education's impact on education are primarily from a personal consumption point of view.However,in terms of actual consumption and control,the connection between family consumption and education may be more direct.Therefore,it may be more significant to study the influence of education on household consumption.It helps us to further recognize the relationship between the two and reflect the impact of education on the life and quality of life in the family.Using related data from Chinese family financial investigation(CHFS)and fuzzy dual contrast decision-making method,it is found that in the couple's nuclear family,general family and the main family,the highest levels of education of family members are concentrated in junior high school,high school(secondary school)and undergraduate(junior college).The average annual per capita consumption of the couple's nuclear family and the general family are similar and slightly higher than that of the main family.Food consumption is the largest per capita consumption in the year,household travel consumption,family education training consumption and family tourism visit consumption are relatively small.Besides,the average annual per capita consumption of the eastern and central family are similar and the average annual per capita consumption of the western family is concentrated in the low consumption range.In terms of family structure,the total consumption in the couple's nuclear family is most affected by the highest level of family members' education,and in the general family the total household consumption is more affected by education when the child is the highest level of education in the family.In terms of consumption categories,household consumption is most affected by the extent of education while the travel consumption is least affected.In the residential area,the household consumption in the eastern and central regions are more obviously affected by education than that in the western families.In addition,families in the east and central regions are most affected by the education level of family members in household consumption,education training consumption and tourism exploration.According to the above research conclusion,in order to further strengthen the education on household consumption and the positive role of personal life and quality of life,the family should fully realize the consumption value of education and focus on improving the degree of education of family members.The school should strengthen the consumption of education and promote healthy,scientific and sustainable consumption concept to students.Moreover,The state should increase its investment in education of the western region,narrow the gap between western,eastern and central quality of life,and break the imbalance of education between the west,eastern and central parts.
