The development of the education industry in China is centered on teachers.The quality of teachers’ work and life will not only have a direct impact on the daily work efficiency of teachers,but also have an indirect impact on students’ academic performance,which will in turn affect educational development in China.In this era,the basic education reform in our country is gradually deepening,and scholars paying attention to the quality of teachers’ work and life are gradually increasing.The investigation of teachers’ quality of work life is an important approach to modern education management.School leaders can not only timely and comprehensively understand the various needs and working conditions of teachers,but also adopt targeted reform and management methods,and can effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers to improve the quality of teaching and research.This study first reviewed domestic and international literature on working life quality and found that research at home and abroad mainly includes research on the content and structure dimensions of work life quality and the discussion of the quality of work and life of employees of companies.The lack of corresponding attention to the teacher groups,especially the study of the quality life of primary school teachers is relatively scarce.Therefore,in this study,questionnaires,interviews,and observations were used to investigate the teachers of five primary schools in Shihezi city of Xinjiang.430 questionnaires were distributed and 384 were effectively recovered.The effective recovery rate was 89%.SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the data obtained.In addition,Based on the understanding of some teachers’ work and life condition,while considering gender,age,position,and different marital status and other relevant factors,the study selected eight representative primary teachers who were serving in teaching,and interviews were conducted to make the study more objective.By summarizing the results of these surveys,it is found that the total score of teachers’ work and life in primary schools in Shihezi is above the overall level.In addition to survival needs and security needs,the scores of all dimensions are also in the middle and upper levels.In the demographic variables,there are significant differences in marital status,academic qualifications,professional titles,teaching age,and different monthly average income.There is no significant difference in gender and position.Based on the investigation conclusions and various data,this study analyzes and discusses the influencing factors of primary school teachers’ life quality,and proposes policy recommendations for improving the quality of teachers’ work life:(1)Social support: establish a social support network and form a reasonable Expectation and policy support to improve teachers’ social and economic status;(2)Schools attach importance to effective management: implement humane management,establish andimprove teacher evaluation and management systems,provide multi-channel training mode,and create a good working environment:(3)Teachers pay attention to comprehensive promotion: establish a correct view of life values,correct understanding of self,enhance the quality of positive personality,strengthen teaching and training,participate in scientific research activities,cultivate good personality,and establish a harmonious interpersonal relationship.
