Teaching Design And Reflection Of Chinese Teaching In Secondary Based On A Curriculum For Excellence Framework Of Scotland

"A Curriculum for Excellence" was promulgated in 2004.It is the basic framework and guiding system for primary and secondary education in the Scottish region and used in many aspects including modern foreign language teaching.The thesis is based on the author’s one-year Chinese teaching experience in Northern Scottish city Aberdeen,through the concrete design of Chinese teaching with the framework of A Curriculum for Excellence and the observation and analysis of the overall design of Chinese courses in Aberdeen City,aiming to explore the specific application of A Curriculum for Excellence in Chinese teaching so as to reflect the vaule and deficiencies of A Curriculum for Excellence with the Chinese teaching as the main subject.This thesis is mainly divided into five parts.Firstly,it is the introduction,presenting reasons for thesis,research methods,research contents and summary of current reseach,and then outlines and analyzes A Curriculum for excellence in Scotland and the overall design of Chinese language in Aberdeen based on the framework of A Curriculunm for Excellence.At the same time,it takes the first semester students in Aberdeen City as an example with a topic of food to design specific Chinese language teaching framework,whose purpose is to demonstrate the specific application of A Curriculum for Excellence in Chinese teaching and observe its practical problems that may arise in practice.Finally,it goes based on the Chinese teaching design,but it is not limited to this.It is trying to integrate the author’s one-year teaching experience with A Curriculum for Excellence to reflect the application and inspiration of A Curriculum for Excellence in the Chinese language teaching and its own insufficiency which have made every effort.
