Adjusting majors setting is one of the key links when new academic institutions seeking transformation and development to achieve the application of the development of the road,we must pay attention.The analysis of the macroscopic environment in the transformation and development of new academic institutions by SWOT analysis shows that the opportunity of majors adjustment in new academic institutions lies in the historical influence of running schools,the liberation of thought,the natural connection with the local;It's disadvantages are that colleges are lack of funding,reform support is weak;unreasonable structure of teachers,lack of double-qualified teachers;Externally,opportunities are government support efforts to enhance,autonomy of majors settings to expand;regional economic development,the demand for skilled talent to enhance,which objectively for the majors adjustment provides a good condition;Challenges are social community as a whole concept of misunderstanding,political and academic cooperation are difficult?On the basis of the above analysis of the macroscopic environment of the majors adjustment of new academic institutions,in order to make the research more in-depth,author selects H college as a case analysis?By combing the college in different stages of development about setting and adjustment of majors to find that the prominent features Include seizing the school positioning,increasing the number of majors attention to professional planning,the implementation of dynamic adjustment,attention to new majors construction,creating special majors?The Summary of experience is:accurate positioning to adhere to service local;based on tradition to pay attention to historical heritage;application-oriented to achieve characteristic development;developing disciplines to flexibly set majors;timely adjusting majors for social needs?But there are a series of specific problems about setting and adjustment of H college's majors,such as majorssetting depending on people,attention to majors application but contempt construction;unreasonable major structure;lower major degree of integration and so on?Based on the experience and lessons of the setting and adjustment of H college's majors,majors setting and adjustment of new academic institutions in the background of transformation must deal with the relationship between the survival and long-term development of the school,the history of itself and the reform and innovation,the relationship between majors setting and discipline development;adhere to the unity of feasibility characteristics and benefits ?
