From the third grade,the teaching materials for the new curriculum of the People's Education Press began to arrange skimming of the texts.At the same time,they also required the teaching of skimming texts: on the content of the teaching,it is necessary to know the meaning of the rough text,and to understand the meaning of words and phrases as the training;In terms of method,students tend to be more dominant.The instructional design of the new curriculum requires teachers to change their teaching theories and teaching behaviors and transform the theoretical knowledge and new curriculum concepts into their own teaching behavior.So,how to adapt to the requirements of the new curriculum,transform teaching behaviors,and how to “strengthen” the teaching of skimming texts becomes a problem that teachers need to consider and control in the teaching process.The author,in combination with her own teaching practice and the student's academic situation,selected the third unit of the eighth edition of the first edition of the People's Education Press--Lessons of Reading “ Candles,” and conducted instructional design and experimental studies to explore the teaching strategies for reading texts.The first class of the eighth unit of the eighth edition of the People's Education Press,"Candles," is a skimming text.Its represent in the era and its research are of great significance.Taking "Candle" as an example,the teaching design and experimental research are aimed at.By looking for the article's text interpretation and teaching design methods,students can accurately grasp such articles in terms of emotional attitudes and values;and let teachers integrate teaching processes,optimize teaching effects,conduct teaching reflections,and improve teaching in the future teaching process.The ability to skimp on the teaching of texts is "relaxed",slightly less concise,and meticulous in understanding thesituation.Specifically,the research content of this article is mainly divided into the following sections:The first part is the introduction.First of all,it expounds the current teaching status and academic characteristics of the skimmed texts,reflecting the necessity of exploring skimming text teaching methods.It combed all articles in the eighth grade of the People's Education Press,explained the status and learning significance of “ Candles ” in the textbooks,summarized the “ Candles ”,and expounded the relevant contents of teaching design.Through the above content,the source of the selected topic is obtained.Secondly,it emphasizes the necessity of skimming textbooks in both theoretical and practical aspects and the significance of choosing "Candle" for instructional design and experimental research.Then the paper objectively analyzes the current research status of textual interpretation and instructional design in China,especially the status of studies on skimming texts and the article "Candles".Finally,it summarizes the methods used in the research process.The second part is a textual interpretation of "Candles" from the perspective of middle school language.Text interpreting is the basis of a good
