| Implementing innovative and entrepreneurial activities has played a significant role in promoting China’s economic growth and social progress.Encouraging,supporting and promoting various entrepreneurial activities has become an important national development strategy.Among entrepreneurship groups,young college students with professional theoretical knowledge,technical skills,innovative thinking and spirit have become a new force for knowledge-based or professional entrepreneurship.Our country has introduced a number of entrepreneurial policies to support college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship activities.The significance of innovation and entrepreneurship of college students is self-evident.Although ideals are beautiful,the reality is bony.Studies have found that college students’ start-ups generally face the entrepreneurial difficulties such as lack of resources and information asymmetry.In the final analysis,it is still the inherent problem of the lack of legitimacy in start-ups which results a lower likelihood for college students’ entrepreneurs to acquire resources and then affect the development of entrepreneurship.Given that China’s current market trading system is still not perfect,it is necessary to obtain entrepreneurial resources through entrepreneurs’ network relationships in the cultural context of China’s differential pattern.As an intangible resource of a company,legitimacy also depends on the acquisition of the relationship between the entrepreneur and the network members.So as to obtain other key resources and thus increase the success rate of the venture.Therefore,the main content of this study is to explore the influence mechanism of college students’ entrepreneurial network on entrepreneurial growth from the perspective of cognitive legitimacy.This study defines the concepts and dimensions of entrepreneurial networks,cognitive legitimacy and entrepreneurial growth of college students based on the theories of college students’ entrepreneurship、entrepreneurial network theory、legitimacy theory 、entrepreneurial growth theory and the actual characteristics of college students’ entrepreneurship.Then it analysis the mechanism of the three variables and finally put forward hypotheses to build a theoretical model.Based on 283 samples of entrepreneurial college students from Jiangsu and Zhejiang province,we analyzed the data with SPSS,AMOS and structural equation model and finally obtained the following conclusions:(1)College students’ entrepreneurial networks have a significant influence on the growth of entrepreneurship.Among them,partial network has significant effect on survival performance and satisfactory performance,while neutral network has no significant effect on survival performance,but have a significant positive effect on satisfactory performance;(2)College students’ entrepreneurial networks positively influence the cognitive legitimacy;(3)Cognitive legitimacy plays a partially intermediary role between entrepreneurial networks and entrepreneurial growth.Among them,cognitive legitimacy plays a completely intermediary role between partial network and survival performance,neutral network and satisfactory performance and plays a partially intermediary role between partial network and satisfactory performance;(4)College students entrepreneurs having not yet graduated should accumulate entrepreneurial knowledge and experience,improve social skills,enhance entrepreneurship belief through relationship network,rather than only focus on actual entrepreneurship profit. |
