Since the Eighteenth National Congress,the national image as a national cultural soft power has been increasingly valued by the party and the country.At the 19 th General Conference held in 2017,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era and it is necessary to combine China's national conditions and actual conditions.Building China into a prosperous,strong,democratic,civilized,harmonious and beautiful socialist modernized country has further defined the goals and requirements of China's national image construction.College students as the main builders and manifestation of China's national image,the image for the country's approval or not,not only relates to the self-development of college students,relationship to the development of country and society progress,more related to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,need to be attention.Based on the recognition theory and related literature research,this article takes Dalian University of Technology as an example,combining with questionnaires and interviews to analyze the current status of college students' national image recognition: it has the correct political concept but some students' political attention and participation are not high;High degree of recognition in the economic system and policy level but there is a cognitive bias in the specific economic development;a high degree of recognition of the image of China's cultural power but some students lack of cultural practice;have a high degree of social responsibility but some students have moral cognition and choice Confused;full of confidence in the construction of ecological civilization but there is a conflict between environmental awareness and behavior;highly recognized the image of China as a responsible big country but a few students have irrational patriotic phenomena.College students' national image recognition belongs to the field of ideological and political education.This article focuses on colleges and universities,combined with the basic elements of the ideological and political education process.It finds that the educator's guiding role is underutilized,the college student's own factors are limited,and the national image education content and methods are not targeted.The negative influence of the complex and diverse external environment is the main reason that leads to the problem of college students' national image recognition.After finding out the causes of the problem analysis through questionnaires and interviews,this article,with the support of relevant literature,combined with practical suggestions to strengthen the national image recognition of college students: to coordinate the cooperation of university teachers,counselors,college students,and school management andservice departments Together,college students are conscientiously pursuing self-education with the national image recognition and management,enriching the educational content and methods of the country's image,and creating a favorable environment for university students' national image recognition.
