In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,the teaching of Chinese culture is an essential aspect.Language is the carrier of culture,and there is no language independent of culture.Situational teaching method emerged and prevailed in England from 1930 s to 60 s,and was introduced to China in late 70 s,which is well known to foreign language circles.Situational teaching method,as a good teaching method,is widely used in language teaching at home and abroad,but there is not much research on it combining with cultural courses.This paper,based on the situational teaching method,combined with the teaching of Chinese culture course in foreign language,takes the teaching of Chinese culture in the Princess Sirindhorn's College as an example.In view of the actual needs of the high school students of the Princess Sirindhorn's College in Thailand,the teaching content of "Chinese diet culture" is selected for the students.Specific teaching projects selected,in order to achieve good teaching results in teaching practice.According to the students' interest in learning and the students' actual Chinese level,this article starts with the "eight major cuisines" of China and combines the content of the Chinese diet culture to teach the Chinese food culture course and guide the students to experience the food production in person in order to harvest the true knowledge in practice.Through the investigation and analysis of the actual situation of the students in Thailand,this paper designs a teaching plan for Thailand middle school students based on the situational teaching method.At the same time,we carry out the practice of classroom teaching,observe the practical results,get the practical results,analyze the students' feedback on the teaching of culture class,and understand the students' learning situation.Through a more in-depth study,this paper analyzes the characteristics,problems and shortcomings of Thailand middle school students' culture teaching,and puts forward some suggestions on the teaching of Thailand middle school students in culture course.The purpose is to expand the application of situational teaching method in language teaching,to promote the realization of the teaching effect of culture course in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and to provide a reference for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
