With the reform and opening up and the development of socialist market economy,the moral concept and moral character of the whole society have undergone drastic changes.On the one hand,the ideological infiltration of western countries and the influx of a large number of social trends;On the other hand,the unhealthy social atmosphere of market economy has caused people to face more complicated situation in the choice of moral behavior.For the college students who are forming and shaping the values of thought,the improvement of moral cultivation is essential to get rid of the dilemma of moral disorientation.Among the many moral qualities,which are the most critical,the most necessary and the core status of the college students,which is the core moral quality.First,in-depth study and analyze the Chinese nation excellent moral ideological system,school moral education system of western developed countries,the scholars at home and abroad related research achievements of the subject,as well as the current system of moral education in colleges and citizen moral construction measures.Make questionnaire of the college students’ core moral qualities,oriented to the Guangzhou Mega Centre college students,parents,education workers,employers and other social people,collect the opinions of different groups on the selection of core moral qualities of college students.By calculating the importance evaluation score of each index,the core moral quality structure model and index system of college students are constructed.The result showed,the core moral qualities of college students are divided into one first-level indicator: core moral quality;six second-level indicators: National identity,Social morality,Professional ethics,Family virtues,the Self-cultivation of morality,Ecological consciousness;and 15 third-level indicators: love the motherland,respect for others,responsible,polite and law-abiding,honesty and trustworthiness,solidarity and cooperation,equality of men and women,filial piety,can a clear distinction between right and wrong,self-love,self-discipline and uremitting self-improvement,cherish life and protect the environment.And then make a cross-cultural comparative analysis of core moral qulity system with the the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD),United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO),the United States and England,learn experiences from them.Finally,put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve the core moral quality of college students.
