This paper,by using theories of the types of the relationship between parents and teacher put forward by the predecessors,creatively come up with the Chinese concept of "parent-teacher cooperation" hoping to deeply discuss how the Chinese teachers can build a relationship with parents and how they can have effective communication from the micro-aspect of home-school cooperation.Through the case analysis method,the paper deeply analyzed two cases at St Bede's College in Christchurch New Zealand and discussed about the current situations of parent-teacher cooperation in New Zealand high schools from respects of government policy,campus culture,social concepts,personal factors,etc,according to which the characters of kiwi parents and teachers and the existing problems of New Zealand high schools have been made conclusions.It also provides some coping strategies for Chinese teaching practitioners who are in or about to go to New Zealand and hopefully it will provide advice and reference for frontline teachers.
