Casework Intervention In Juvenile Community Corrections

With the development of the economy and the constant deepening of reform and opening up,coupled with the fact that China's economy has been in a period of rapid transformation since the party's 18 th National Congress,the material and cultural life of the people has undergone qualitative changes,but the society has also seen some changes.New problems,new situations,and new conflicts,such as the high rate of crime among young people.According to data released by the public security system,crimes committed by juvenile offenders have emerged some new trends in today's society,such as younger ages,and the continuous reduction of the minimum age of crime;complications,the cause and purpose of crimes are increasingly diverse,and smart,the means of crime.With more and more scientific and high-tech methods,the crime rate of young people is as high as 20%.Therefore,it is extremely important for young offenders to deal with the measures they encounter and to guide them to achieve a successful re-socialization.According to the research of domestic scholars,the effect of traditional imprisonment penalties on young offenders is always unsatisfactory.The juvenile offenders released from closed prisons continue to suffer a high rate of reoffending.The effect of traditional reform measures on their implementation is not obvious.Community correction,a socialized execution method,has effectively improved this situation.Compared with the traditional treatment measures for imprisonment punishment,community correction is a socialization point.Measures that are effective reduce the rate of reoffending for young offenders and help them reintegrate into society.With the increasingly mature and perfect social work interventional community correction model in Europe and the United States and the unexpected improvement in the effect of transformation,this casework method has been widely implemented in community corrections because of its concern.Serving the inseparable link between individuals and the environment,it focuses more on the socialization process of adolescents than on punishment and supervision of criminal behavior.This paper starts with the background,purpose and significance of the case work method in the community correction of adolescents,and summarizes the current situation of community correction system and social work intervention community correction research by domestic and foreign scholars.It also outlines the author's research ideas,and at the same time the term of community correction.The concept was defined,and the status quo of juvenile community correction in Longgang District and the problems of the owner were analyzed.The social work involved in the case study of community corrections in Longgang district was sought under the guidance of the social work professional values and the method of case work was followed.The basic process,from the case work to the initial establishment of the professional relationship,and then use direct observation method,interviews and other methods to collect information on the client's data,analysis of the owner's existing advantages of the resources,according to the specific circumstances of the case to develop appropriate correction Service plan and implementation of follow-up implementation and implementation,and finally the case work involved in the community to correct the effect of youth and goals of the completion of the situation,from the process and the results of the two levels of assessment and settlement.The author's research shows that the casework method is one of the effective means to intervene in community corrections for adolescents,but there are also deficiencies in access to community support resources,the lack of compound community correction staff,and the singularity of case work methods.In the last chapter of the thesis,the author put forward some specific suggestions for the above-mentioned deficiencies.First,the community correction system should be strengthened to obtain the maximum degree of community support resources;Second,the funding for community correction teams should be strengthened to cultivate complex types.Thirdly,in the process of using case methods to intervene in community corrections for youngsters,it is still necessary to assist with group work methods or other techniques.
