In the process of the revision of the new round of geography curriculum standards,taking the “Lide Tree Man” as its fundamental task,it clearly pointed out the revision direction of the core literacy of geography disciplines,and integrated human-neighbor coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition,and geographical practice.It is listed as a core literacy,emphasizing the status of students and attaching importance to the process of experiential learning.importance to the process of experiential learning.This article explores the advantages of self-made teaching aids in geography teaching.It uses the example of middle school geography teaching to illustrate the role of self-made teaching aids in geography teaching in middle schools,and provides references for how to use self-made teaching aids to cultivate students' geographical core qualities.This article explores the advantages of self-made teaching aids in geography teaching.It uses the example of middle school geography teaching to illustrate the role of self-made teaching aids in geography teaching in middle schools,and provides references for how to use self-made teaching aids to cultivate students' geographical core qualities.This paper focuses on five parts.The first part is the introduction.This paper briefly describes the current educational background in China and raises students' problems in geography and core literacy.It elaborates the purpose and significance of the research and proposes the main contents of this thesis on the basis of a detailed analysis of the research status of self-made teaching aids at home and abroad method.The second part of this article is a theoretical study of self-made teaching aids.The concept of teaching aids and self-made teaching aids was defined on the basis of summarizing the definition of self-made teaching aids by different scholars.The theoretical basis and teaching practice requirements of self-made teaching aids are combed,the characteristics of self-made teaching aids are summarized,and the principles of selection,production,and design of self-made teaching aids are described.The third part of this paper is about the design and application of teaching aids for middle school geography.The examples of geographical self-made teaching aids in the junior high school and middle school were cited respectively.As an example,the topicof “the movement of direct solar radiation and the change of day and night” was used in junior high schools.The subject of “globe” was used as an example to discuss the design of teaching aids.teaching practice process.The fourth part of this article is the investigation of teaching effectiveness using self-made teaching aids.A questionnaire survey was designed for students in high schools,and junior high school students and excellent geography teachers were interviewed in junior high schools.After sorting out the contents of the interviews and the interview data,the advantages of the self-made teaching aids in geography teaching in middle schools and the problems to be solved are summarized,and the countermeasures for solving the problems are presented.The favorable influence of self-made teaching aids on cultivating students' geographical core qualities is described.The fifth part of this paper is the summary and prospect of this paper.This paper briefly describes the research content of this thesis and summarizes the research results of the thesis,and puts forward the research insufficiency of this thesis as well as the practical teaching prospects for cultivating students' geographical core qualities.
