At present,the employment issue is still one of the most important issues of the people’s livelihood that our government and people are most concerned about.Employment is the most basic support for social and economic development.China is a multi-ethnic country,focusing on employment research for ethnic minorities,which is beneficial to poverty alleviation of ethnic minorities and the development of ethnic minorities,thereby contributing to the overall development level of our country and making a comprehensive well-off society.Most of the ethnic minority population in China is concentrated in the Midwest and Northeast of China.The employment status of the minority population and its existing problems are closely related to the country’s overall employment level.Through sorting out the relevant research literature,it is found that there are few studies on employment of ethnic minorities,which mainly focus on the employment of ethnic minority students and the employment of single ethnic groups.From the perspective of economics,the research on employment differences mainly focuses on urban-rural,gender,regional differences,and industry differences.However,the research on ethnic employment differences is relatively weak.Therefore,a comprehensive and systematic study of the causes for the employment discrepancies of ethnic minorities is of great practical significance for promoting the economic development of ethnic minorities and guiding employment in ethnic areas.This article applies data from the fourth,fifth,and sixth national census in China and statistical data about minorities in various provinces in China.Analyzing the distribution characteristics of ethnic minorities in China and the employment characteristics of ethnic minorities,from the industries to which they Occupations are analyzed,using empirical analysis methods such as regression model and significance analysis are used to analyze the influencing factors of minority employment differences.The main research contents included:(1)Analyze the demographic characteristics of ethnic minorities in China,including the total population characteristics,gender characteristics,and level of education of ethnic minorities in China.The main conclusions are that the population growth of ethnic minorities has slowed down,and the number has risen;the sex ratio has dropped,and the female’s fertility desire has increased;the level of education has risen,and compulsory education has become popular,but imbalances still exist among ethnic groups.(2)Analyze the ethnic differences in employment characteristics of ethnic minorities in China-industry characteristics,which mainly include the employment distribution characteristics of ethnic minorities in various industries in China,and the characteristics of employment changes in the industry from 1990 to 2010.The main conclusions are that the employment of ethnic minorities has shifted to non-agricultural industries,the proportion of employment in the national industries in the south has increased rapidly,the number of employees in the construction industry has increased significantly,and the service industry has dominated the non-agricultural sector.(3)Analyze the characteristics of ethnic minority differences in China-occupational characteristics,which mainly include the distribution of ethnic minorities in various occupations in China,and the employment status of each ethnic minority by gender.The main conclusions are as follows: There are significant differences between non-agricultural minority ethnic groups and Han ethnic groups.The Orogeny had obvious advantages in the state organs,and there are significant differences between the ethnic groups of professional and technical personnel.Some ethnic minorities have relatively high occupations of professional staff,and business and service personnel increase.Obviously,less ethnic agriculture is lower than the Han nationality,and most ethnic groups are engaged in the production and transportation of equipment that operates at a lower level than the Han nationality.(4)Using the regression model to analyze the influencing factors of employment discrepancies among ethnic minority,which based on the data of the sixth census in 2010,analyzing the factors affecting the employment of ethnic minorities,taking into account the characteristics of industry structure and occupation structure.Analyzing the factors that affect the employment of ethnic minorities from different dimensions.The results of the study indicate that the average education level,labor participation rate,population density,population dependency ratio,and fertility level of ethnic minorities in China all have an impact on the employment structure of ethnic minorities,and offering some valuable policy advices for promoting the population of ethnic minorities on the basis of the research results.
