Sandplay therapy,currently one of the very few methods for psychological treatment in the world,is highly influential abroad.In recent years,the Sandplay Therapy has been widely applied in China.And there are many innovative points in the group sandplay,which have been demonstrated in clinical treatment,psychological counselor training,group therapy etc.According to existing research,the sandplay therapy is well appropriate for the treatment of children autistic disorder,emotional disorder and behavior problems.Moreover,it can also applied to ease college students' anxiety,improve their ability in adaptation to new environment,boost the ego of freshmen from vocational schools,treat the behavior problems of pupils and help the patients abstained from drugs make a good recovery.Also the sandplay therapy is good for adults suffering from depression,anxiety,and difficulty in interpersonal communication.As regards family therapy,it can be applied to promote parent-child relationship and intervene to prevent major family trauma.According to existing studies,the level of mental health of the teachers engaged in special education is below the national mental health norm.Thus they are in urgent need of a feasible and convenient way of psychological therapy.The research object of this study is special education teachers.The problem of this study is to effectively improve the mental health level of special education teachers through the intervention of group sandplay,and to study the characteristics of the theme of special education teacher group sandplay.In this research,questionnaires are given out to 42 teachers from a certain special education school in a certain district in Dalian,with 10 of them finally selected as subjects at random.And then the 10 subjects are randomly divided into intervention group and control group,with no intervention applied to the control group and the time of intervention for 2 months.SPSS22.0 is used for description and statistics of the data as well as the test for the matched sample t,and the results show that:(1)The group sandplay displays distinct features in the intervention in mental health of the teachers engaged in special education.After the deepening of the subjects' self-recognition,there is a significant decrease in topics related to psychological harm which shift to topics related to healing and conversion,with those related to conversion more obvious.(2)The intervention of group sandplay marks a rise in the level of individual mental health,significantly higher than that before the intervention.Through the group sandplay,individuals can gradually gain support and empathy,thus they can have the corrective emotional experience and improve their social skills.The conclusion of the study is that group sandplay has a significant effect on the intervention of psychological health level of special education teachers,and the theme of group sandplay of special education teachers has obvious characteristics.
