Since the 21 st century,education informatization has gradually shifted from heavy construction to heavy application.According to the “13th Five-Year Plan for Education Informatization,” education informatization is a key symbol of educational modernization,and the current development has achieved a series of positive results.The informationization of higher education is a natural extension of education informatization.It is a complex project that is continuously developing dynamically.The evaluation of the level of informationization in higher education is an important measure to advance education modernization and achieve educational equity.The main contents of this study include the following aspects: Firstly,the origin of the research on the evaluation index system of higher education informatization level is introduced,and the related concepts involved in this study are re-understood from the perspective of concept extension to provide the theoretical basis for follow-up research.Secondly,from the aspects of academic paper statistics,typical research projects,indicators research,and evaluation practice,we analyze the research status of China's higher education informationization evaluation.Under the premise of forming basic indicators based on literature data,dynamic refinement,addition and deletion of indicators based on policy planning,Delphi method consultation with experts,screening and determination of indicators at all levels of dimensions.By using the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weights of various indicators,an appropriate evaluation index system for the informationization level of higher education is constructed.Applying the evaluation index system of higher education informationization level applied to S universities,conduct an empirical study on the development of education informatization level.The research results show that the evaluation index system of the informationization level of higher education constructed in this paper can reflect the development level of higher education informatization in a comprehensive way.The index system is scientific,reasonable,and operable.In the empirical study of S University,through t-test and F-test correlation studies,it was determined that the S-university education informatization as a whole showed a normal distribution with the "good" level as the axis of symmetry,and it was in the middle-upper level.It is in line with the current level of education informatizationdevelopment of S University,which provides a good example for the evaluation system to be applied in a wider range,and it also provides certain decision-making basis and reference for other universities and education informatization administrations.
