As a new auxiliary teaching method, multimedia technology is an important part of modern educational technology and science. It can effectively improve the enthusiasm and participation of college students in classroom learning and provide support for teaching reform and improvement of teaching quality. It has been basically popularized in colleges and universities. The research results of scholars are mostly confined to the discussion of multimedia related theories and practical applications, and are basically limited to the theoretical teaching. However, there are still some deficiencies in the application of multimedia in the teaching of technical courses. In view of this, this study conducted an experimental study on the teaching of badminton general course skills in college physical education major by using multimedia assisted teaching,to verify the experimental effect of multimedia assisted teaching. The research adopts methods such as literature, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis and teaching experiments.50 male students majoring in physical education of grade2016 in school of physical education of liaoning normal university are taken as experimental objects. Two different teaching methods, multimedia assisted teaching and traditional teaching, are adopted to carry out a 12-week teaching experiment.Research findings:After the experiment, there was a significant difference between the standard score of forehand serve and the control class(p<0.05),and there was a significant difference between the technical evaluation score and the control class(p<0.05).There was a significant difference between the test class and the control class(p<0.05)in forehand hitting high ball, and a significant difference between the technical evaluation grade and the control class(p<0.01).There was a significant difference between the forehand score of the experimental class and the control class(p<0.05),and a significant difference between the technical evaluation score and the control class(p<0.01).There were significant differences between the experimental class and the control class in the practical ability to analyze and solve problems(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.After the experiment, there is a significant difference between the performance of forehand serve in the experimental class and that of the control class. After the experiment, there is a significant difference between the performance of forehand serve in the experimental class and that of the control class.2.After the experiment, there is a significant difference between the results of forehand hitting high-distance ball in the experimental class and that of the control class. After the experiment, there is a very significant difference between the results of forehand hitting high-distance ball in the experimental class and that of the control class.3.After the experiment, there is a significant difference between the results of forehand killing in the experimental class and that in the control class. After the experiment, there is a significant difference between the results of forehand killing in the experimental class and that in the control class.4.There is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in the practical ability of analysis and problem-solving after the experiment. The experimental class students are better than the control class in both analysis and explanation and problem-solving ability.5.There are significant differences between the experimental class and the control class after the experiment. The experimental class achieves 24% and 56% higher than the control class respectively. There are significant differences between the experimental class and the control class in the ability to analyze and solve problems. The passing rate and failure rate of the experimental class are 32% and 24% lower than that of the control class, respectively.
