It has been clearly proposed in the Guideline of Basic Education Curriculum Reform(trial)issued by the Ministry of Education in 2001,that the evaluation system should be built to facilitate students'overall development.It is believed that when making evaluation on students,people should not only focus on their academic scores,but also try to find and develop students' potentials in other areas,get to understand their needs to develop,help them know themselves so as to be more confident.Besides,the education function of evaluation should also be exerted,from which students can get some development.And this view is also pointed out in the Chinese Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011 version).which is that the final purpose of Chinese curriculum evaluation is to promote students to study and improve teaching quality.What is the situation of homework evaluation of Chinese curriculum in primary school higher classes?What factors are related with the evaluation situation?What factors influence the evaluation most?How to improve the evaluation efficiency?No doubt that it is good for improving concerned teachers' integrated teaching ability and promoting students' long-term development,if these problems got well coped with.This paper takes the evaluation on Chinese curriculum homework Writing part of sixth grade in one primary school in Yanji city as the study object.The methodologies employed in this study include literature review,observation,interview.Besides,in the research process,the headteachers,Chinese curriculum teachers,students and their parents are interviewed according to the targeted needs.Through research,the homework evaluation situation get understood and some related problems are found.Furthermore,the factors on these problems are analyzed to figure out corresponding suggestions to improve the homework evaluation of Chinese curriculum in sixth grade.Some conclusions are drawn through the study on the homework Writing part evaluation situation of Chinese curriculum of sixth grade in a primary school in Yanji city:a.the people who evaluate the homework.Teachers together with students are the main subjects to evaluate.And teachers or the students evaluating the homework is the second main persons to evaluate.From this view,it can be reached that there exits the situation where evaluating process lacks enough involvement of the subjects——students who do the homework,and the parents are inactive in the evaluating process;b.the objectives of the evaluation.The awareness of the objective is not strong enough;and the whole evaluation process lack entirety,periodicity and integrity;c.evaluation content.It involves too much homework itself,like the writing content,writing skills and writing language,but makes insufficient efforts to analyze the students themselves including their emotions,attitudes and values.So the phenomenon that evaluating homework and evaluating students are separated from each other in the overall evaluating process;and the teachers ignore the preparation for the writing material which students can refer to,as well as pay less attention to evaluating the revised version of students' homework;d.Evaluating methods.The evaluating language is not enough and too simple;the arrangement of evaluating languageJ s location in the homework is not reasonable;the evaluating language also ignores the characteristics of students' physical and mental development,which is subjective and aloof;the language of evaluation for every student seems alike and so adult;e.Evaluation standard.The standard is a little high for the students and appears to be unitary and lopsided;f.The evaluation language does little good for students to improve their writing ability;for students,the evaluating language given by teachers and other students can,t meet their needs to make progress in writing part.Based on the study results and factors in homework evaluation,some suggestions are proposed from the aspects of the primary school,teachers and the parents so as to cope with the problems found in writing evaluation:a.Teachers take a correct attitude towards homework evaluation and enhance their professional awareness in written evaluation language for students writing;b.select evaluation content and focus on more evaluation points;c.get clear about practice objectives and set up effective evaluation standard;d.improve and perfect after—evaluation process and build evaluation system of students' writing portfolio.
