The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship among shyness,self-awareness and social anxiety of junior high school students and to expl ore that group counseling to enhance self-awareness is conducive to improvi ng shyness and social anxiety level.Junior middle school stage is a very critical stage for the physical and mental development of middle school students.At this stage,junior middle school students will face many problems.Social anxiety in interpersonal communication is a common problem among Contemporary Junior Middle School students,among which shyness and self-awareness will affect social anxiety to a certain extent.This study is divided into two parts.The first part of the study uses the Shyness Scale for Junior High School Students,the Self-Consciousness Scale for Children and the Social Anxiety Scale as research tools to conduct a questionnaire survey on 1000 junior high school students in six schools.The data collected are collated by SPSS data analysis software and analyzed by descriptive analysis,correlation analysis and intermediary effect analysis.The second part,taking a junior middle school in Haicheng as an example,selected 20 subjects with low self-awareness according to the results of relevant data.They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 10 subjects each.A group counseling scheme for self-awareness enhancement training was designed and the experimental group received seven group counseling sessions.The control group did not carry out any experimental treatment during this period,and the difference test before and after the test is carried out respectively to verify that the scheme can effectively improve self-awareness,reduce shyness and social anxiety level.This study draws the following conclusions:1.The shyness level of junior high school students has significant difference in family shape,but there is no significant difference in gender,household registration,whether they are only children or not,grade.2.There are significant differences in the level of self-awareness among junior high school students in terms of whether they are single,grade and family form,and there are no significant differences in gender and household registration.3.There are significant differences in gender,household registration,grade and family shape of junior high school students'social anxiety level,and there are no significant differences in whether they are only children or not.4.There was a significant negative correlation between shyness and self-awareness,a significant positive correlation between shyness and social anxiety,and a significant negative correlation between self-awareness and social anxiety.5.Self-awareness partially mediates the relationship between shyness and social anxiety in junior high school students.6.Intervention program can effectively improve junior high school students'self-awareness,and can reduce the level of shyness and social anxiety.Based on the results of this study,the following suggestions are put forward:First of all,for families:to create a harmonious family atmosphere,to establish a good parent-child relationship,to give timely feedback and objective evaluation.Secondly,for school,they should enhance their awareness of self-awareness,provide sufficient training opportunities,and pay attention to the growth of all students.
