In recent years,with the introduction of the key competencies of the subject of history,related discussions and researches on it have been carried out throughout the country.With the theme of cultivating key competencies of each subject,teaching competition courses in middle school class have also been carried out in various places.The teaching competitions of middle school history class not only gives history teachers the opportunity to demonstrate their historical teaching ability and level,but also gives them the chance to absorb peer experience,promote their own class teaching reflection,and improve the quality of history teaching,etc.;but current teaching competitions in middle school history class also exists some problems.In order to solve these problems,enable middle school history teachers to view the teaching competition dialectically,and learn to make use of the competition activities to correctly promote their professional development,currently based on existing research results,a large number of surveys and interviews were conducted on the history teachers and students of middle schools in Guangxi Province in terms of the impact of teaching competitions in middle school history class on teachers' professional development.It is found that teaching competitions in middle school history class on teachers' professional development have a great influence on the professional development of history teachers,which is conducive to the enrichment of teachers' professional knowledge,the improvement of professional ability,the update of professional concept and the platform provision for teachers' professional development.Last but not least,it is also beneficial to promote the growth of teaching and research team.However,many existing factors,such as some problems exist in competition classes itself,some history teachers lack of understanding of the competition class,self-development awareness,and perfect organization of the activities,the school and the teaching research group lack of attention,hinder the professional development of middle school history teachers.To solve these problems,we canformulate perfection of measure from the perspectives of history teachers,event organizers,schools,and teaching research groups,such as,history teachers themselves could improve their self-development awareness and correctly understand teaching competition activities;event organizers should focus more on and improve the organization of teaching competitions in history class,schools and teaching research groups should pay attention to the organization and discussion of teaching competitions in history class and so on.All in all,it is necessary for all parties to make joint efforts to make the teaching competition in middle school history class play the most important role in promoting the professional development of history teachers.
