Text Analysis Of The Articles Of Association Of Three Universities In Modern China

The University Charter in the true sense of our country originates from the charters promulgated in the initial period of modern university hall in China.Beiyang University Hall,Beijing Normal University Hall and Shanxi University Hall all have prominent status in the early period of modern China.This paper chooses the statutes of Beiyang University Hall,Jingshi University Hall and Shanxi University Hall as the texts,uses the text analysis method and comparative analysis method to explore the school-running purposes and ideas contained in the statutes of the three universities established in modern China,and puts forward relevant opinions and suggestions on the construction of modern university charters with Chinese characteristics and the improvement of modern university system in China.This paper is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,the origin,significance and the existing research results of the University Charter are analyzed,and the research questions are presupposed by text analysis and comparative analysis,and the research ideas and contents are sorted out.Chapter two combs the historical evolution of the charters of foreign universities and universities in China,and explores the status and role of the charters of three modern universities in the development of higher education in China.Chapter 3 uses text analysis method to analyze the constitution texts of three universities,mainly from two aspects:the form and content of the constitution texts.Formally,it mainly focuses on the proportion and presentation of the texts,and analyses the presentation mode of funds,students and disciplines in the constitutions of three universities(exclusive and implicit presentation)and the length of the articles.Proportion(summary presentation and detailed presentation);Content mainly for the three university statutes of the common parts of the analysis,namely,the reasons for running schools,school funding,student selection and subject settings in four aspects.Through text analysis,we can get the text characteristics and value orientation,and then analyze the school-running ideas and spirit embodied in the text characteristics and value orientation from the three perspectives of national conditions,provincial conditions and school conditions.Chapter IV first makes a horizontal comparison of the statutes of three university halls,compares the differences in presentation mode and space proportion of the statutes of three university halls in terms of school-running funds,student selection and subject settings,and analyses the general structure types and content commonalities of the statutes involving content mastery,and the reasons for the similarities and differences;and then makes a comparison of the three modern university halls evolved from the three university halls.The university charter is compared vertically with its predecessor's charter,and the two dimensions are compared by case and whole respectively.On the one hand,the texts of the same university in modern and modern times are compared and analyzed;on the other hand,the statutes of three modern universities and the statutes of three present universities are compared as two whole in terms of time differences,focusing on the analysis of the consistency of the concerns and presentation modes of the statutes of the universities in the two periods,and whether the expression and rules of the same aspect of content have changed or not.How is it different?Chapter five,based on the text analysis and comparative analysis of the statutes of three universities,summarizes the shortcomings of the texts of the statutes of modern universities,and puts forward specific measures to improve the statutes of our universities.
