With the development of the new curriculum reform,the mathematics textbook of junior middle school has added the introduction of chapter head map and pre-chapter question on the basis of the summary at the end of chapter.Therefore,a new type of mathematics class,chapter initiation course,has come into the teachers' field of vision and attracted the attention of many mathematics teachers.Chapter initiation teaching has become a hot issue of research in the last two years.Through the research,it is found that in practical teaching,teachers' understanding of chapter beginning course was only on the surface,not play its due role.Some teachers do not understand the function of chapter initiation course,and lack of in-depth research on the teaching methods.So the research of instructional design about the chapter initiation course is particularly important.Firstly this study analyzes the literature related to the chapter initiation course and teaching strategies,and determines the direction of this study.Secondly,the author makes use of the educational practice to record the teaching of the chapter initiation course of the first-line teachers,and carries on the questionnaire investigation to the mathematics teachers of three middle schools in Tianshui City,in order to understand the current teaching situation of the mathematics teachers.This paper summarizes the problems existing in the chapter initiation teaching,and puts forward the corresponding solving strategies.Then,taking the eighth grade mathematics teaching material of East China Normal University as an example,the author selects the teaching design cases from the following four chapters: "Pythagorean Theorem","Collection and Representation of Data","Fraction" and "Function and its Image",then uses two parallel classes for experimental teaching.Finally,the author counts students' unit scores,at the time carries out the SPSS analysis to test the research conclusion.The conclusions of this study are as following:(1)attach importance to the "chapter initiation" teaching(pay attention to the growing point of knowledge,improve the effectiveness of classroom introduction,clarify the content and methods of the chapter initiation course,and create a good cognitive structure);(2)grasp the degree of "chapter beginning" and "new knowledge"(not to increase the burden of students,avoid the teaching "chapter introduction" occupying "new knowledge",and outline the knowledge framework "rough lines").
