In different versions of mathematics textbooks,there are chapter introductions and chapter diagrams before the beginning of each chapter,and in recent years,the role of chapter introductions and chapter diagrams has received more and more attention from scholars,and accordingly,a new type of course "Chapter Starting Lessons" has emerged,and the research on the theories related to the teaching practice of chapter starting lessons has gradually become a hot spot of the current theoretical research on education and teaching,while there is few systematic teaching research on chapter starting lesson of junior high school mathematics.Firstly,this research reviews and analyzes the literature on the role,teaching status,teaching design,and teaching strategies of chapter starting lessons in the junior high school mathematics.Secondly,taking some middle school students and teachers in Yulin City,Shaanxi Province as examples,it investigates the current teaching status of chapter starting lessons in junior high school mathematics,summarizes its existing problems and proposes corresponding solution strategies.Then,taking three chapters in the junior high school mathematics textbook of Beijing Normal University edition,including "Preliminary Probability","Factorization" and "Quadratic Functions".Finally,the author explored the influence of chapter starting lessons on students' mathematics learning through student interviews and experiments.The main conclusions of this research:(1)Problems in the teaching of chapter starting lessons in junior high school mathematics: insufficient attention to chapter start lessons,serious test-taking,insufficient pre-chapter preparation,insufficient in-depth research,and inability to teach chapter start lessons;(2)Strategies to address the current situation of teaching chapter starting lessons in junior high school mathematics: improving the teaching evaluation system,implementing pre-chapter preparation,and optimizing teaching and learning;(3)Formulating the main line of teaching design for chapter starting lessons in junior high school mathematics and effective teaching strategies for different types of chapter starting lessons;(4)Initial results were achieved in the practice of chapter starting lessons in junior high school mathematics.
