Primary education is the initial stage of national educational.China has been a big agricultural country since ancient times.It has been reported that there 900 million people in Chinese country.It accounts for 70 percent of the total population of our country.For such a huge population base,the problem about the education of country students has been a significant problem.Mathematics education is also an important part of national education.The quality of Mathematics education takes effect on the whole quality of the national education.So we must take a research on the mathematics literacy of country students.This research is on the base of former research.In this research,the author uses different methods to study such as Literature method,Questionnaire method and Interview method.It can make country teachers' further thought of existing problems of primary maths education and set up a new concept of Mathematics Education.This study is based on the current situation.In this study,mathematical elements are divided into the following four dimensions: knowledge and skills,mathematical thinking,problem solving,and emotional attitude.Based on these four dimensions,a questionnaire on the mathematical literacy of primary school students was prepared.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 700 students from three townships in F county.Three teachers were interviewed from the aspects of understanding of mathematical literacy,understanding of mathematical literacy training and reflection on mathematics classroom teaching.Nine students were interviewed from the aspects of their feelings about math class and their views on math.According to the survey results of mathematics literacy of senior students in rural primary schools in F county,jiangsu province,the overall level of mathematics literacy of senior students in rural primary schools is relatively good,but there are still many problems.Rural primary school students are weak in mathematical knowledge and skills,and their problem-solving and mathematical thinking abilities are also at a low level.Students' mathematical literacy varies greatly in different regions.Teachers and school environment in areas with good economic development are better than those in areas with poor economic development.Therefore,students' mathematical literacy is relatively high.According to the problems existing in mathematics literacy of senior students in rural primary schools,this paper analyzes the corresponding reasons from three aspects: school,teachers and students.School aspect: the campus culture lacks the mathematics element,the school education idea is backward;As for teachers,they have low mathematical literacy,serious and old-fashioned classroom atmosphere.Students: students' self-efficacy in mathematics learning is low,their learning of mathematics is limited to textbooks,and they lack initiative and communication among students.Based on the above reasons,the author puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies from the three aspects of teachers,schools and students.School: create more colorful teaching activities,improve the students' learning environment;Teachers: improve their professional quality,improve the classroom atmosphere and classroom teaching methods,use different teaching methods for different students;Students: strengthen independent learning ability,develop strong character,develop good learning habits,rely on outside help to expand mathematical knowledge.
