Purpose:Aim of present study is to investigate the correlation between muscle oxygen saturation and exercise intensity during incremental exercise test in three training population including College students majoring in physical education,Excellent short-distance rider,Excellent rower.Methods:15 male amateur bodybuilder of Shanghai University of Sport;12 male excellent short-distance cyclists of Shanghai sport team;15 male excellent rowers of Shanghai sport team.Indicators measured during exercises are as below:Muscle oxygen saturation?SmO2?,Heart rate?HR?,Oxygen uptake?VO2?for all subjects,and blood lactate?Bla?was measured immediate after each step during exercise tests;In tests of college students majoring in physical education and excellent rower:biceps brachii,Vastus lateralis,and muscle site of excellent short-distance rider is Gastrocnemius lateralis,Vastus lateralis.Each college student majoring in physical education and excellent short-distance rider performed an incremental cycling exercise test until exhaustion on a bike ergometer,while each excellent rower performed an incremental rowing exercise test until exhaustion.At last,Person's correlation analysis were used to investigate correlation between muscle oxygen saturation and exercise intensity indicators during whole exercise and each relative exercise intensity.Results:?1?During incremental exercise test of college students majoring in physical education,excellent short-distance cyclists,excellent rowers,With the gradual increase of exercise intensity,the correlation between muscle oxygen saturation and the indiactors of exercise intensity decreased step by step.?2?During test of college students majoring in physical education,for arms,there is high inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and Power,HR,VO2,Bla?p<0.05?;For thighs,there is high inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and Power,VO2?p<0.05?;also,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and HR,Bla?p<0.05?.Meanwhile,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and Power?p<0.05?,and high inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and Power,VO2?p<0.05?.Under high exercise intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and power?p<0.05?,there is also moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and HR?p<0.05?.When it comes to maximum exercise intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and HR?p<0.05?.During test of excellent short-distance cyclist,for calfs,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-GL and Power,HR,VO2?p<0.05?;For thighs,there is high inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and power,HR,VO2?p<0.05?.Meanwhile,During moderate exercise intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-GL and HR,VO2?p<0.05?,while there is high inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and HR?p<0.05?,also moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and Power,VO2?p<0.05?.Under high exercise intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-GL and Power,HR,VO2?p<0.05?,and also between SmO2-VL and HR,VO2?p<0.05?.Under maximum exercise intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and VO2?p<0.05?.During test of excellent rowers,for arms,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and Bla?p<0.05?;For thighs,there is high inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and HR,Bla?p<0.05?, and moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and Power?p<0.05?.Meanwhile,during moderate intensity,only moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and VO2?p<0.05?.Under high intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and VO2?p<0.05?,also moderate correlation between SmO2-VL and Power,HR,Bla,VO2?p<0.05?.Under maximum intensity,there is moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-BB and VO2?p<0.05?,Also,a moderate inverse correlation between SmO2-VL and VO2?p<0.05?.Conclusion:?1?During incremental exercise test of college students majoring in physical education,excellent short-distance cyclists,excellent rowers,in muscle site of Vastus lateralis shows moderate to high correlation between SmO2 and indicator of exercise intensity,so that SmO2-VL could be one indiactor of exercise monitoring.?2?SmO2 in Biceps brachii and Gastrocnemius lateralis could be reflection of exercise intensity during incremental cycling exercise,also the Biceps brachii.Among these sites,there is high correlation between SmO2 of Biceps brachii and exercise intensity in incremental cycling.
