Research On Medical Social Work Service For Children With Leukemia And Their Families

In this article,the author takes the medical social work service of leukemia children as the research object,and uses the case work services of 12 leukemia children and their families to analyze the dilemma in the service from the children,family members,medical social workers,hospitals,and projects,and point out the causes and countermeasures.The study found that the predicaments in the social work services of children with leukemia are as follows:1.There are many types of psychological problems in children,both physical and psychological problems,and the objective communication and cognitive ability of individual clients are limited,which brought great difficulties;2.Family members have low awareness of medical social work,their resistance and rejection are serious,and because of preemptively negative attribution,family members have serious cognitive bias.3.Medical social workers lack theoretical knowledge and practical experience,lack of professional competence,and low professional recognition of medical social work;4.The hospital has low acceptance of medical social workers,and provide less support in terms of materials,personnel,space,etc.5.There is a phenomenon of "paper service" in the medical social work service of the project,and the effects of case intervention services are limited.The reasons for the above problems mainly include:1.social awareness and low recognition of medical social work;2.lack of medical social work system;3.lack of professional education in medical social work;4.Project dependent development,and weak evaluation mechanism.In view of the dilemma and its causes in the service,this paper proposes countermeasures from the following aspects:1.In terms of personnel training,the university pays attention to the cultivation of the ability of medical social workers,and continuously develops and expands the professional talent team;2.The government strengthens guidance from the policy level,professional associations formulate unified industry standards and norms,and double guarantees promote the development of medical social work;3.The hospital introduces medical social work services and explores the "medical staff + medical social workers" model;4.The media strengthens publicity and raises the social awareness of medical social work.5.Accelerate the improvement of the supervision and evaluation mechanism of the project.
