Minors are the hope of the nation and the future of the country. The issue of juvenile criminal crime has received increasing attention and attention. The social investigation system,as an important part of juvenile justice,is scientific and objective for criminal defense and juvenile juvenile justice. It is also of great significance for the correction of adolescent education. The social survey was established at the time of the revision of the Criminal Procedure Law of the People’s Republic of China in 2012,together with the appropriate adult system in the special procedures for minors. This is undoubtedly a breakthrough in the juvenile justice in our country. However, the law only establishes that public security organs, procuratorates and courts need to fulfill this obligation under conditions, but it does not stipulate that the above three organs conduct investigations in person according to their powers or commission a neutral third party to conduct investigations,or both sides of the defendant may investigat by commission. Therefore, there are roughly the following different types of implementation organizations which doing the minors social reseac in our country : judicial social work institutions, volunteers, judiciary and entruste lawyers. An important part of the work of the judicial social work organization in which the author participated in the internship was to accept the pre-trial social investigation of juvenile criminal cases through government purchase.Through the practical research on the C judiciary social work institution of B city, the author finds that the social investigation work is not just a simple information gathering work in the practice operation. The social workers not only play their professional advantage through the investigation itself, but also play the role of integrating resources and services in the process of social investigation. The emergence of various roles is not only to serve the client in many aspects, but also to achieve the purpose of the service investigation itself.By combing the relevant literature,it is found that although scholars have realized that social survey is a field worth studying, there are not many studies on the specific operation of social workers involved in social surveys,so I hope to explore this.Based on this kind of thinking, the author takes the service practice of B City C as an example in this paper, and uses research methods such as combing literature, participatory observation, interviewing, and case law.Interviews with full-time social workers, police officers, and prosecutors understand their understanding and understanding of social investigation work and their understanding of the multiple roles of social workers. At the same time, the author also uses participatory observation methods to observe the working status, role use status, goal realization and actual effects of social workers in conducting judicial social investigations.Through analysis and research,we first combed out the process of judicial social workers’ involvement in social investigations, including “trust relationship builders”,“investigators”,“evaluators”,“resource linkers”,“relational mediators”,and “support promotion”."A variety of services brought by various roles and roles." Based on the role combing, the author draws the conclusions of the particularity of the social investigation role in the judicial field, the advantages brought by the integration of multiple roles, and the future development direction. The author believes that the research on the juvenile judicial social investigation work of B city C can not only provide the multi-functional role of social workers in the judicial social investigation, but also provide reference for multiple services, and can also involve Chinese social workers in juvenile justice. The theory and practice of social investigation work have an important driving role.
