"Sex" has always been a taboo word in the tradition Chinese concept.Nowadays,people’s concept of sex has been constantly open,there are many social phenomena that can not be ignored at the same time,such as the low age of sex crime and the increasing number of sexual assault on teenagers.Therefore,sex education has gradually entered the compulsory education class in China as people gradually realize the importance of sex education for teenagers.However,the teaching practice of adolescent sex education is not optimistic,whose teaching content evades the crucial point,while the degree of attention in each region is uneven.As a disadvantaged group,teenagers in welfare institutions do not have complete family sex education and regular school sex education.Therefore,it is very necessary to use social work methods to intervene in sex education among teenagers in institute.This study takes teenagers with normal mental health in Hope House of Fuzhou Children’s Home as an example,which is dominated by the family parenting model.Taking group work in social work as a means of intervention,this study explores the application of group work in teenagers sex education in child welfare institutions.This study is divided into six parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the background,purpose and significance of the topic,and analyzes the content of foreign sex education theory and the development practice of related social organizations at the same time.Moreover,the introduction combs the relevant literature on social work intervention in adolescent sex education from the practice of domestic sex education theory.The second chapter introduces the core concepts,guiding theories and research methods of this study.The third chapter carries out the early demand assessment.By setting up a file for a teenager,by means of field observation,questionnaire survey and so on,this paper grasps the current situation and finds that there are four strong needs for adolescent physiological knowledge,interpersonal communication,self protection,and network communication of Hope House youth in Fuzhou Children’s Home,designs the group activity plan and selection the team members.The fourth chapter introduces the development process of each group activity in detail,and changes in each participant are observed.The fifth chapter evaluates and feedback the group activities through three aspects of group workers,team members and staff in the welfare institute.Through the intervention of group work,it not only popularized adolescent physiological knowledge,improved interpersonal communication and self-protection skills,but also linked volunteers from the sixth experimental group in Taijiang District.A network of interpersonal communication and social support for young people in welfare institutions has been established.The sixth chapter is the summary and prospect,which analyses the advantages and disadvantages of this study.Furthermore,relevant suggestions on youth social work services in welfare institutions are put forward through this study.Through this study,it is found that group work service is helpful to promote the development of adolescent sex education in child welfare institutions.
