China is in the period of social economic transformation.The advancement of urbanization has changed the situation of rural families to varying degrees.The changes in social concepts,economic concepts,family concepts and educational concepts have made rural family education face some new problems.These problems are mainly manifested in: Parents entering the city to work,leaving a gap in children's emotional education;parents are more sloppy,resulting in the lack of family education for their children;parents as the only child,bringing the defects of children's psychological education.At the same time,the high school period is an important stage in the physiological and psychological development of students.In addition,rural students grow up in a relatively simple cultural atmosphere from an early age.After entering secondary school,they must adapt to a more complex and multi-level living environment.Students must face the various contradictions and pressures brought about by the pressure and growth of further studies.It is prone to various psychological problems such as emotional fluctuations,excessive paranoia,and impatience,and these psychological problems can often affect a person's life.In this study,452 students from two rural high schools in Qionglai City,Sichuan Province were surveyed using the Parental Parenting Questionnaire,the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale,and the Self-Control Scale.Through the analysis of SPSS20 and AMOS21.0 software,this paper explores and discovers the internal mechanism of rural high school students' parenting styles affecting self-control,thus enriching the research on parenting style and self-control.The results: 1.In the parenting style of rural high school students,emotional warmth,understanding,severe punishment,refusal to deny,excessive protection andparenting style are higher than the norm,excessive interference is lower than the norm,emotional warmth in the mother's parenting style,understanding is higher than the norm Excessive interference,excessive protection,refusal to deny,and severe punishment are lower than the norm.The self-concept of rural high school students is at a medium level.Self-control is slightly above medium.2.In the difference test of demographic variables,there are certain differences in parenting styles in gender and grade,and the difference is not significant in whether or not the only child is born;the self-concept differs significantly in whether it is only in the single child,and the difference in gender and grade is not significant;self-control has certain differences in gender,whether it is only child,and grade.3.There is a significant correlation between parenting style,self-concept and self-control of rural high school students: positive parenting style can positively predict self-control and self-concept,negative parenting style can negatively predict self-control and Self-concept;self-concept can positively predict self-control.4.Self-concept plays a part in mediating between parents' parenting style and self-control.The conclusions: Parental parenting can affect the self-control level of rural high school students.It is also possible to further influence the level of self-control of rural high school students through the intermediary role of self-concept.
