Under the background of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,the country's need for higher education and the desire of outstanding talents are particularly urgent.College students as an important force of reserve talent,but also should be a red sun in general,vibrant,diligent and enterprising,and strive to create the glory of this era,not negative Shaohua.However,relevant research shows that more than 75% of college students have the problem of academic procrastination,and its procrastination is manifested in many aspects such as their own academic management tasks,preparation review,paper writing and so on.Obviously,this is very unfavorable to realize the development of college students themselves,improve the quality of education and the quality of talents in China,and improving the status quo of college students ' academic procrastination is undoubtedly an urgent task.Therefore,based on the theory of Time motivation and IPO theory,combined with the results of previous studies in the field of academic procrastination,this study creatively constructs a research model of college students ' time management tendency,self-control and academic delay.Using Amos and SPSS statistical analysis software to organize the recovery of 561 effective questionnaires,the empirical results show that the sense of time value,time monitoring and time efficiency are negative to predict academic delays,and self-control in the sense of time value,time monitoring view,time efficacy and academic delay play a part of the intermediary role.In addition,this paper also explores the influence of six characteristic variables,such as gender and major,on the main variables of college students.Finally,from the college students themselves,colleges,families,society in many aspects put forward the following suggestions: Change management attitude,clear sense of time value,set up target planning,establish the concept of time monitoring,actively implement implementation,improve the sense of time effectiveness,pay attention to environmental impact,enhance self-control ability.The innovation of this paper lies in: One,under the guidance of time motivation theory and IPO theory,tries to introduce the intermediary variable of self-control to analyze the influence of time management tendency on college students ' academic delay.This paper makes up the theoretical defects that only consider two factors,and constructs a research model of time management tendency,self-control and academic delay.Second,the research data of this paper is rooted in Shanxi colleges and universities,a total of six universities,issued 600 questionnaires,the data used in the article are derived from this.Therefore,the countermeasures and suggestions put forward in this study to improve the current situation of college students ' academic procrastination are highly targeted and rich in local characteristics,which provides guidance and reference for helping colleges and students themselves to reduce their academic procrastination behavior.
