| Academic procrastination is a complex psychological process involving individual cognition,emotion and behavior,and it is an individual’s delay in completing tasks related to their own academic activities.Achievement motivation is an individual’s internal driving force for success in activities.Time management tendency is a multi-level personality characteristic that shows different behaviors and psychology in different ways of using time.Middle school students are in the stage of rapid physical and mental development.Research has found that academic procrastination is a common phenomenon among students.Pay special attention.This study intends to understand the academic procrastination of middle school students from the perspective of time management tendency and achievement motivation,study the relationship and mechanism of these two variables on academic procrastination,and theoretically explore the relationship between the three,so as to better understand the relationship between the two variables.In teaching practice,improve individual academic performance,minimize the negative impact on the mental health of middle school students due to academic delay,and provide certain scientific and feasible suggestions for cultivating individual good study habits.This study used the Academic Procrastination Questionnaire,the Adolescent Time Management Tendency Scale and the Achievement Motivation Scale to conduct a questionnaire survey on 900 students from four schools in Hanzhong Longgang School,Hantai Middle School,Wuhou Middle School and Lueyang Tianjin Senior Middle School.860 questionnaires,of which 814 are valid questionnaires.SPSS25.0 statistical software and PROCESS plug-in were used for statistical analysis and mediation test.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Academic procrastination has significant differences in gender,student origin,academic performance and family neatness;achievement motivation has significant differences in gender,student origin,academic performance and family neatness;time management tendency is significantly different in student origin,academic performance,There are significant differences in household cleanliness.(2)Time management tendency negatively predicts academic procrastination,achievement motivation and pursuit of success negatively predict academic procrastination;(3)Sense of time value,sense of monitoring and sense of efficacy positively predict achievement motivation;(4)Achievement motivation partially mediates the relationship between time management tendency and academic procrastination.Based on the above research results,in order to reduce the level of academic procrastination among middle school students,the following educational countermeasures are proposed:(1)Self-aspect: plan the time well,decompose the goals,and make breakthroughs one by one,so as to enhance the sense of time monitoring;(2)Family: should lead by example,give full play to the role of positive demonstration and lead,so as to enhance the child’s sense of time value;(3)Teachers: The classroom focuses on the creation of scenarios and timely and accurate feedback after class,so as to enhance students’ sense of time value.(4)Peers and peers: They should help each other,grow together and establish a healthy competitive atmosphere,so as to enhance the individual’s sense of achievement motivation.(5)School administrators: The methods of school competition and competition should be used reasonably,and the classes and grades should be mobilized in a timely manner to form a healthy competitive atmosphere of chasing each other. |
