Professional football clubs have become a hot topic today.The appearance of this phenomenon not only has the status of football as the “world's number one sport”status.The Chinese government's drastic reform of the football system and system in recent years has pushed football to the cusp of turmoil.In addition,Chinese companies are rushing to the sports industry,especially football clubs.However,the attention of the football clubs at the government level and the enterprise level has not brought about the upsurge of academic research in China.There is a fundamental difference in the nature of ownership between the foreign football clubs and the Chinese football clubs.Therefore,their research results and research methods are not applicable.Worldwide,our country's football competitiveness is weak,and for most people,the weak competitiveness of football means that who cannot win the ball.Obviously,this understanding is one-sided.To date,there have been no scholarly system studies about how to evaluate the competitiveness of the club,and how to guide the club management level to increase the competitiveness of football clubs.Based on the theory of competitiveness and the value chain theory,this article constructs an indicator framework for the competitiveness of football clubs,including human resources competitiveness,race performance competitiveness,team culture competitiveness and operating efficiency competitiveness.Under the guidance of framework,the secondary and tertiary indicators of the evaluation index system for football club competitiveness mainly come from literature review and expert interviews.The indicators were revised through expert interviews,and the final indicator evaluation model was constructed.It contains 9 secondary levels and 23three-level indicators,a total of 25 experts and scholars participated in the questionnaire survey of the weights of the indicator evaluation system,and passed the consistency check.The 16 football clubs participating in the 2016 China Football Super League were selected as the sample to measure the club's competitiveness.The results showed The obvious hierarchical structure,high-ranking clubs have the strongest competitiveness,but the competitiveness of the phalanx clubs is quite different;The middle-ranking clubs are more competitive and internal differences are smaller;The low-ranking is less competitive and needs to be improved at all stages of the valuechain.The indicators of human resources and sports performance in the dimension have a strong influence on the competitiveness of the club,and the influence of the team's cultural is increasingly valued by scholars and companies.In the end,the article gives three suggestions for the club to enhance its competitiveness.First,increase the input of human resources to enhance the level of competition of the club;second,increase the brand communication of the club and increase social benefits;third,increase the awareness of collaborative competition and focus on the culture of the club.
