In the past two decades,more and more public policies and academic research have focused on all aspects of employment quality.Researchers have realized that employment is no longer just about choosing a job that can guarantee basic living needs for most people.Employment influences quality of life in many respects:it is often the key to social and economic advancement,it provides one with a sense of identity and it offers opportunities to socialise with others.At present,there is a lack of analysis and evaluation of employment quality in the statistical data and analysis and evaluation of the statistics and labor administrative departments in China.Quality of employment may play an important part in countries that are faced with the problem of an ageing labour force,as it is a key factor to enhance sustainability of employment.Estimating,evaluating,and researching the quality of employment can more accurately understand the quality of employment in each region and the differences between regions and help improve the statistical analysis of labor information in China,thus providing more theoretical basis and data support for government employment decisions.In this paper,combining with the actual employment situation in China,based on the definition of the concept of employment quality,an evaluation index system for employment quality was constructed,the employment quality in each region of China was measured and analyzed,and use the calculated employment quality index to analyze the impact of employment quality on economic growth.First,the relevant literature was summarized and sorted out;Then,the paper introduces the research content and framework,as well as the innovation and deficiency;Secondly,it elaborates on the definition of the quality of employment,the analysis framework of the employment quality,and the employment quality evaluation system.Thirdly,it constructs an evaluation system of China's employment quality,including China's employment quality evaluation index system,the method of empowerment of employment quality evaluation and the calculation method of employment quality index;Then,by building an employment quality evaluation index system that includes six dimensions and 23 sub-indicators to calculate the employment quality index of China's 30 provinces(city,autonomous region)from 2010 to 2015,and using the Terre index to measure the employment of each region,and from the aspects of employment quality changes in each year,the overall ranking of employment quality,various dimensions of indicators and differences in the quality of employment in various regions to analyzes our country regional employment quality level;Finally,The interaction mechanism between employment quality and economic growth is expounded,and an empirical analysis of the impact of employment quality on economic growth is attempted.The study found that the level of employment quality in China is generally not high;there is a large difference in the employment quality index of each province(city,autonomous region);the ranking of the quality of employment in all provinces(city,autonomous region)has changed in varying degrees;employment environment,employ ability and employment protection are important dimensions that affect the quality of employment;the gap in the quality of employment in each region is large;the overall difference in employment quality is mainly caused by the region;the impact of employment quality on economic growth is positive.According to the conclusion of the analysis,the following four policy recommendations are proposed in this paper:First,increase investment in education funds and raise the level of human capital;Second,help job-seekers to carry out vocational training and improve employ ability;Third,improve the employment protection system and the employment environment;Fourth,increase spending on social security and expand coverage of social insurance.The innovation of this article lies in:it mainly from the perspective of individual workers and also contains elements of some social perspectives,and clearly defines the connotation of the quality of employment;try to analyze the impact of employment quality on economic growth,and conduct an empirical analysis to conclude that the impact of employment quality on economic growth is positive;from the changes in the quality of employment in each year,the overall ranking of employment quality,various dimensions of indicators and differences in the quality of employment in various regions to comprehensively fully analyze employment quality level of regions in China.The inadequacy of this article lies in:The quality of employment is a composite concept,which has many influencing factors.Due to the availability of data,this article only selected some representative indicators,and some indicators need to be considered,such as the welfare status,gender wage gap,etc.;In this paper,only uses macro data,and does not obtain microscopic data through investigations.In the future,it hopes to combine macro and micro data and comprehensively examine the quality of employment.
