According to the data published in the China Statistical Yearbook 2017,the population of China in 2016 was 138.27 million,and the female labor force(15-54 years old)was 34.76 million,accounting for 46.8%of the total labor force.Therefore,China attaches great importance to the equality between men and women in the field of employment.Employment is the foundation of people's livelihood and the basis for women's survival.Economic resources,for a long time,the Chinese government has promoted equality between men and women as a basic national policy.The report of the Nineteenth National Congress pointed out that the basic state policy of equality between men and women should be adhered to,and the rights and interests of women and children should be guaranteed.The report on the work of the government at the first session of the 13th National People's Congress covers a wide range of contents concerning people's livelihood.The report clearly pointed out the elimination of gender discrimination.However,the current employment situation of women in China The development report shows that the rate of women's labor participation in China has been declining continuously,and that the rate of women's labor participation in China has experienced a continuous decline from 73%to 63%from 1990 to 2016.Moreover,the gap between male and female labor participation rates has been widening,which shows that women's employment is facing many problems.With the implementation of the "comprehensive two-child" policy,from the original one to the second,the family and social responsibilities on women's shoulders have become more and more serious;with the aging trend of China becoming increasingly serious,and the traditional way of providing for the aged in China is to provide for the aged at home,under the influence of the traditional concept of "male dominated,female dominated outside" further deepened the female.Family burdens also have a serious impact on women's employment.In addition,according to the "Global Gender Gap Report 2017”released by the World Economic Forum on November 2,China's ranking fell by one to 100th.The discrimination of Chinese women in the labor market can not be ignored.It is urgent to improve the employment discrimination of Chinese women.Based on the above-mentioned problems,this paper reviews the research results at home and abroad,taking the theory of gender discrimination,gender equality,welfare pluralism and social support theory as the research cornerstone,using literature analysis,case analysis,comparative analysis to study the status of women's employment and employment discrimination problems.Nowadays,under the market economy system,enterprises have become the main body responsible for women's reproductive costs,making the cost of child-rearing pass on to women themselves,weakening the competitiveness of women in the labor market;in addition,the imperfect laws and regulations,poor maneuverability,lack of effective supervision,low discrimination costs of enterprises,making employment discrimination now.Under the dual pressures of child-rearing and old-age care,women's "work-child"conflict is further aggravated.The increase of women's time spent on family will inevitably affect their work energy and efficiency,restrict women's employment opportunities and become a major obstacle to women's career advancement,and deepen women's labor market.The weak position of the field.In view of the above problems,this paper summarizes and summarizes the advanced experience of foreign countries in improving female employment discrimination,aiming to provide reference for improving the phenomenon of female employment discrimination in China,and puts forward corresponding suggestions on the construction of social security system and the relevant deployment of employment and livelihood policies in the report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC.The countermeasures and suggestions are expected to have certain theoretical significance and practical value for reference in improving the phenomenon of female employment discrimination.At the same time,we should perfect the relevant legal system to reduce the occurrence of employment discrimination and ensure equal employment between men and women.From the social level,we should strengthen the establishment of social support system(women's organizations,child care institutions,family care services),alleviate women's "work-family" conflict,promote the socialization of household work so as to reduce the burden of women's families,and advocate gender mainstreaming awareness,and build a society of equal employment between men and women.The environment,from the women's own level,suggests to increase the reserves of women's human capital and encourage women to start their own businesses,improve women's competitiveness in the labor market so as to improve the phenomenon of female employment discrimination,and implement the basic national policy of equality between men and women.
