The higher vocational education is an important part of the national education system.The teachers are so key to teaching quality that the professional development of the teachers in higher vocational colleges is a prominent problem in the process of higher vocational development.The teacher's^professional development aims at making the constant progress in professional knowledge?professional power and professional ethic and achieving the professional autonomy by professional education and education practice.The professional development of the teachers is full of circumstances?uncertainty and value.In modern society,the professional development of teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges is into the plight like the lag of professional knowledge?the lack of knowledge structure?the weakness of professional ethical spirit?the neglect of virtue ethics?the less guarantee of professional autonomy and the invasion of occupational burnout.For the way out of plight and better development,higher vocational colleges,the dominant part to promote the professional development of teachers,should look for pointed development path as the institutionalized on-the-job training for expanding teachers'knowledge?the construction of teachers1 morality for improving professional ethical spirit?the system innovation for guaranteeing professional autonomy and the active meddle for avoiding occupational burnout.Changsha Vocational Technical College,a typical higher vocational college,made unique research in promoting teacher 's professional development.What it mainly do is to strengthen teacher's enterprise practice and enterprise training under the guide of"Double-Quality"teachers.We can learn something from it.The professional development of teachers in higher vocational colleges is a complex system project,which also has distinct realistic meanings and call for the research findings with innovation and practical value.
