Instructions on the establishment of Tibetan classes in Mainland to train talents for Tibet was passed on March in 1984 to establish Tibetan class in developed provinces or cities in mainland in the next year.And on December in 1984,the Ministry of Education and the State Planning Commission published Notice of implementation of the project of central government to train talents for Tibet and decided to found mainland Tibetan class in sixteen provinces(or cities),and this is the beginning of mainland Tibetan class.Mainland Tibetan class achieved a series of achievements after its establishment.This class trained a number of talents for Tibet and stimulated schools in mainland to try new models of education as well as enrich their educational system.Moreover,it is advantageous to the development of national educational theory.And it can strengthen solidarity among ethnic groups and maintain national unity.In spite of achievements of running Tibetan classes in Mainland,there still exist quite a few problems in which the problem of educational management is a crucial part.From the perspective of schools,they are still at the exploring stage of management mode with a diversity of management style,lacking of national characteristics in the process of educational management.And these become major constraints for educational management of students in mainland Tibetan classes.From the perspective of teachers,they are involved in dilemas such as insufficient recognition,unstable members,cultural differences,lack of co-operation and so on.Therefore,how to solve these problems becomes an important issue for the sustainable development of mainland Tibetan Class.As for students,they have difficulties in learning,economy,adaptation,interaction,employment and so on,and these problems should not be ignored and need to be solved urgently.We need to think deeply in coping with these problems from multiple perspectives.For one thing,it is necessary for schools to make their national characteristics clear.For another,the innovation of management mode should be carried out in accordance with the rules.In the aspect of teachers,it is important to provide them with such things as positive guidance,policy support,training and study,full participation and so on.In the aspect of students,it is necessary for us to resolve their conflicts and practical difficulties.As a higher vocational college with a history of more than 20 years in mainland Tibetan class,Hunan Vocational College for Nationalities carried on a hard exploration and obtained some beneficial experience.Taking this college as an example in research,the author tries to find some useful ways of solving problems of educational management for students of Tibetan class in mainland,in the hope of providing some advice and reference for the future improvement and development of this issue.
