"Reading the Whole Book" is more and more valued by scholars and teachers now."Reading the whole book" is the task of the students,and also the task of the teacher.How to effectively carry out the "Reading the Whole Book" teaching activities to enable students Good reading and reading a good book is a hot topic at the moment.The "Reading the Whole Book" requirements,and the characteristics of the mind map have a certain fit.The horizontal divergence of mind map makes the reading angle diversified.Its concept of vertical thinking makes the reading thought deeper.Its scaffolding expression makes the reading logic clear,and the mind map provides the method of "Reading the Whole Book".This article first first discusses the "Reading the Whole Book" related concepts and teaching status.The author carries on the questionnaire investigation to the teaching present situation of "the entire book reading",the investigation shows that the students have the will to carry on "Reading the Whole Book",and hopes the teacher to guide.The second part of this paper discusses the consistency between mind map and the whole book reading from the theoretical aspect."Reading the Whole Book" is conducive to the formation of structural knowledge,helping students to learn independently,cultivating students' creative thinking,and contributing to the development of teaching.The third part puts forward the specific strategy of the combination of mind map and "Reading the Whole Book" teaching.For the works of academic works we should confirm the key words,draw the branch lines and learn the retrieval materials;for the works of biographies,we should integrate the characters,understand the works deeply and write the reading notes;for theworks of novels,we should clarify the characters,comb the artistic structure and integrate the artistic value,so that the students can interpret the text individually.The fourth part discusses the teacher's use of mind map to guide students in the "Reading the Whole Book" matters needing attention.Mind map can play a supporting role in the teaching of “Reading the Whole Book”,not "Picture for the map",and don't put the cart before the horse,we hope that students can find the pleasure of reading.
