With the development of China’s economy and social progress,art education is also constantly innovating according to its own characteristics and the requirements of the times.Under this background,“creativity for the 21 st century” is regarded as the basic orientation of contemporary art curriculum,which emphasizes the cultivation of students’ innovative spirit.China’s basic education enters the “core literacy period”.In the core literacy of arts,improving students’ innovative consciousness and cultivating students’ innovative thinking are required in art activities.Therefore,art teachers should attach great importance to the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking in art teaching,which needs constant practice and research under the guidance of related theory.The author mainly adopts the research method of integrating theory with practice.On the basis of the research on the theory of innovative thinking,the author selects the eighth grade art of the People’s Education Edition,the course of “Color Infectivity” as the topic while integrates the objectives of innovative thinking cultivation into teaching design.The overall structure of this paper is divided into three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.In the first chapter,the author expounds the origin,significance and related theories of this paper.Based on the research of the introduction,the author analyzes the unique role of art teaching in cultivating innovative thinking.After that,the author takes the eighth grade students in Tianshui City S middle school as the research subjects,investigates and analyzes the current situation,and puts forward effective countermeasures on the existing problems.Finally,the teaching design and practice process of the course “Color Infectivity” are introduced in detail.Namely,grasp the method of innovative thinking in teaching design,teaching process and teaching evaluation,so that the whole process of teaching can run through the purpose of cultivating innovative thinking,and carry out the teaching research of the course “Color Infectivity”.In conclusion,from the analysis of post-class survey and the specific implementation of the classroom,the author sums up the advantages and disadvantages of practical research,as well as the research prospects in the future.All of these provide the direction and practice instruction significance for the author’s further research.
