Abstract: The innovative teaching is necessary to social development, it's also necessary to deepen the reform of education and promote quality education. This paper is mainly on the approaches of developing students' innovative ability . At first, the paper analyzes experimental teaching status in quo , developmental trend and research academic base . Then there are five aspects: 1. bring into play students' primary action , and build up innovative consciousness; 2. develop students' cognitive structure; 3. bring up students' innovative thinking, and improve innovative ability; 4. hold physics extracurricular activity, and inspire students' innovative potential; 5. actualize exoteric experiment, improve students' innovative practice, actualize experimental teaching material to innovation, and construct innovative environment . Among them, the sole of innovative ability is innovative thinking. The paper tells three methods of carrying out it. It will be proved that developing students' innovative ability in physics experimental teaching is the best approach for one to be a high-quality educator.
