College students’ mental health education and emotional management have always been an important part of higher education.At present,domestic colleges and universities mostly carry out mental health education for college students by means of mental health education courses,psychological counseling,and psychological knowledge lectures.There are problems such as single educational methods,low effectiveness,and difficult to quantify educational results.Therefore,exploring effective methods for mental health education for college students is still one of the important issues of mental health educators.As an emerging psychological adjustment technique,mindfulness training has shown its ability to slow down negative emotions and improve the mental health of practitioners.However,there is little research on the introduction of mindfulness training into the mental health education of college students.This study firstly combs the research on mental health education and mindfulness of college students.Then,an empirical study on mindfulness training is conducted for the college students.Exploring whether mindfulness training can be applied to college students’ mental health education as an advanced mental health education method.Further enrich the methods and contents of college students’ mental health education,and provide empirical reference for the improvement and development of mental health education.In this study,60 students(30 at the end of the experiment)were enrolled in the first-year students of D University.The subjects were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group,the experimental group was given a six-week train of mindfulness.The control group did not perform any treatment.The three scales of the Five-Factor Mindfulness Scale,the Positive and Negative Emotion Scale,and the SCL90 Symptom Checklist were issued.The pre-test data of the two groups and the feedback of the members in the training were collected.SPSS20.0 statistical software for data analysis.Investigate the influence of mindfulness training on the level of mindfulness,emotional level and mental health of college students.Practice has shown that the integration of mindfulness training and college students’ mental health education is conducive to promoting the research,reform and innovation of college students’ mental health education.Mindfulness training can effectively improve the level of mindfulness of college students and adjust the psychological symptoms of college students It is necessary to use mindfulness training as a new way of mental health education for college students.
