The Plight Of The Parents Of Children With Autism And The Intervention Of Group Work

Autism is a major form of mental illness in children and is classified as a mental disability.Parents of children with autism,as caregivers of children with autism,face many economic and psychological difficulties,and are groups that need special attention and support.This study mainly uses qualitative research methods to observe,investigate and interview parents of autistic children from the perspective of parents of children with autism,based on the internship experience of the civil society in civil society.Parents'dilemmas,try to use group work methods to intervene and explore the significance of group work methods in solving the predicament of parents of autistic children.The study found that parents of children with autism have different characteristics in terms of gender and age,culture and employment,marriage and health,needs and perceptions of parent organizations.The main difficulties are low family income,heavy economic burden,and negative emotions.Psychological stress,lack of knowledge of autism rehabilitation,and lack of five aspects of social support.In response to the above difficulties,the author tried to solve the four unit activities through the group work method,and summarized and evaluated the effect of the group work,basically reached the set group work goals,and the parents of autistic children gained the concept renewal and ability.Upgrade.The methods of group work have the advantages of being more acceptable,the process is easier,and there are also some shortcomings such as lack of team work experience,complicated and difficult to handle parents.Finally,it proposes to promote parents to establish correct disability concepts and self-awareness,to improve their professional competence,to encourage parents to organize development,and to accelerate the establishment of a sound social security policy for autistic families.
