Educators are the most prominent representatives in the field of education and the soul of the whole race or region.Their educational and cultural heritage possesses important value.The title of this research thesis is: Research on the Value of the Education History of Educators' Cultural Relics in the Era of Republic of China—Based on the Investigation of Cai Yuanpei and Tao Xingzhi.Focusing on the representatives of these two educators,the thesis studies educators' cultural relics in the era of Republic of China,deeply explores them,and conducts concrete analysis based on the overview of the current development.Through discussions of educational heritages and on-site survey,visits and investigations,the thesis investigates the cultural relics of outstanding educators including Tao Xingzhi,inspects residences of educators,uses the experience of selected units to promote work in the entire area,and looks for similar problems in the protection,inheritance,development,and use of other educators' cultural relics in the same scenario.Through multiple channels such as consulting materials,searching literature,and on-site interview,the thesis collects concrete measures on protecting educators' cultural relics.The topic selection background of the thesis is: studying the educators' cultural relics is an important subject under the current time background.Protecting and using well cultural relic resources of educators are required by inheriting the fine traditions.The tangible cultural heritage of educators has important reference value to cultivating talents now.Educators' cultural relics are the important homeland for the existence and development of education.Only with the material guarantee of educators' cultural relics can we show the most prominent educational achievements.Educational cultural relics are the advanced education experience accumulated in the process of development of the education industry and the research outcome of numerous educators.Educators' cultural relics are also the foundation and guarantee of educational development.Educational development is inseparable from the support by the cultural relics of educators.Under this background,the thesis adopts the literature method,case method,and the field survey method to investigate and examine the cultural relic resources of educators.In addition,in combination with domestic and overseas literature,the thesis determines the theoretical and practical significance of cultural relics of educators.Cultural relics of educators possess the material,academic and educational value of education history.Therefore,the thesis selects and studies two educators of Cai Yuanpei and Tao Xingzhi because they exert a profound impact in the education history,in particular the modern history.The thesis studies the historical overview of these two educators and the education history of the display of their cultural relics mainly through their former residence or memorial halls,because precious educational cultural relics are kept in these places.Then,the thesis analyzes the impact of their cultural relics and summarizes the existing problems,including the situation faced by their educational cultural relic resources as well as sites and ruins,to call for protecting educators' cultural relics.The protection situation is imperative.Targeting the above issues,the thesis summarizes a series of relevant measures targeting the protection of educators' cultural relics,such as calling on various social sectors including the general public,enterprises,media,and government to engage in extensive participation.Meanwhile,the thesis proposes some targeted measures to develop and use educators' cultural relics to give full play to their educational value.
