Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Parent Committee Participating In School Management In Senior High School

In recent years,the news about the parents' committee is endless.As a new form of home-school cooperation in modern education,parents' committee has attracted increasing attention.The birth of the parents' committee is a sign of the perfection of modern education system,as well as the basic approach and core organization of home-school cooperation.It plays a positive role in the overall development of students and is of great significance to the cooperation between parents and schools.In this paper,12 parents,6 teachers and a supervisory leader of Chengdu X Middle School were interviewed about the current situation of the participation of the parents' Committee in school management in Chengdu X Middle School.The results of interviews show that there are the following difficulties in the participation of parents' committee in school management:(1)the level of participation of parents' committee is not comprehensive enough;(2)the content of participation of parents' committee in school management is not complete;(3)the mechanism construction of parents' committee is not perfect;(4)parents' committee lack self-operation ability.Through investigating and interviewing parents,head teachers and supervisory leader,as well as consulting a large number of literature,the dilemma of family committees participating in school management can be traced back to the following reasons:(1)Parents' reasons can be seen through interviews that parents' participation consciousness is weak,their own quality is not high,together with their ability,limited time and energy,and fear of schools,which lead to parents' inability to participate in schools in management;(2)The school did not set up the parents' committee in accordance with the guidance document of Chengdu Education Bureau,which limited the generation of parents' committee,indicating that the school was unwilling to decentralize its power and authority was weakened;(3)Social reasons for a long time weakened family education,the spread of negative news,leading to the parents' committee was not favored;In view of the above problems,this study puts forward the following countermeasures: first,we must expand the rights of family committees;second,schools should strengthen the guidance of family committees;third,school leaders should change their concepts,decentralize power to family committees and strengthen family-school cooperation;fourth,to co-breed the next generation,the whole society should take action to develop good family education and support the cooperation between family education and school education.
