In recent years,it is more and more prominent for structural problems and deep-seated problems in China's economic development process, and the increasing pressure of economic development is greatly obvious. If we want to lead the new normal of economic development and maintain the economy's growth at medium-high speed, the structural problems in economic development cannot be ignored. This thesis studies the impact of industrial structure upgrading on economic growth from the spatial perspective, which is of great significance to promoting economic growth in each province. This thesis sets about its study from three parts:(1)on the basis of the analysis of the mechanism of the spatial effect of industrial structure upgrading on economic growth, this thesis makes a spatial exploratory analysis of the industrial structure upgrading and economic growth:selecting the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2005 to 2016,adopting the economic geographic spatial weight matrix, measuring the spatial correlation between structural upgrading and economic growth through the STATA software, and analyzing from the perspective of global spatial autocorrelation and local spatial autocorrelation.(2)establishing inter-provincial panel model to study the impact of industrial structure upgrading on economic growth without considering spatial effects.(3)studying the impact of industrial structure upgrading on economic growth from a spatial perspective by establishing spatial Durbin model, and comparing the results with those without considering spatial effects. Finally, the thesis divides the spatial spillover effect into indirect effect, direct effect,short-term effect and long-term effect. After the study, this thesis draws the following conclusions:(1)the overall Moran' s I index of industrial structure upgrading and economic growth from 2005 to 2016 is significantly positive, indicating that industrial structure upgrading and economic growth have obvious spatial positive correlation.(2)the regression results of inter-provincial static panel model and dynamic panel model show that the upgrading of industrial structure can promote the local economic growth.(3)the spatial Durbin model shows that the upgrading of industrial structure has a positive spatial spillover effect on economic growth, which will promote the economic growth of the surrounding provinces. The upgrading of industrial structure, the upgrading of urbanization level, the upgrading of per capita material capital, the upgrading of human capital and the development of science and technology all play important roles in promoting the local economic growth. The upgrading of industrial structure, per capita material capital and human capital can also promote the economic growth of the surrounding provinces. To compare the inter-provincial panel model with spatial Durbin model, the thesis finds that the spatial effect cannot be ignored either from the model estimation effect or from research significance.According to the conclusions of the study, this thesis puts forward the following suggestions:(1)strengthening the economic links between regions;(2)promoting the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure;(3)rationally promoting the improvement of urbanization level;(4)increasing investment to education and science and technology.
